2 RENNER compressor controllers Compressed air supply must be reliable and economical. This is guaranteed by an intelligent controller as well as for individual units and for RENNER compressed air systems. RENNERtronic the user-friendly basic controller Performance features Pressure control within two adjustable pressure bands Customers can determine two pressure bands within limits set by the factory based on which the compressor is controlled. Switching between the pressure bands is carried out by switching an appropriately programmed input. Recording of operating and load hours To identify uneconomical operation where load hours are highly variable. Monitoring of adjustable maintenance intervals For different compressor components, such as air filters or oil filters, maintenance intervals can be programmed. A message appears when maintenance is due. Different code levels The menu system is protected from unauthorised changes by various code numbers (e.g. factory code, service code, customer code). Base load alternation switch The controller also has a base load alternation switch that can be activated via the menu (additional module required). Control of frequency converters A PI controller is integrated for controlling compressors with frequency converters. This controller determines the rotating speed setpoint depending on the set pressure band and transmits this to the converter as an analogue signal (additional module). Fault memory The last ten messages stating the current operating hours are displayed on the controller for diagnostic purposes. 3 RENNERtronic Plus the compressor controller with additional functions Performance features The RENNERtronic Plus has all the functions of the standard RENNERtronic. But it can do even more! Real-time clock All functions can be called up on the large display with real-time clock. The internal software has a timer with 7 channels. Base load alternation switch The software is fitted with a base load alternation control. Its purpose is to connect via the RS485 interface (max. 4 additional RENNERtronic or RENNERtronic Plus units), direct connection via inputs and outputs (direct link, max. 2 additional standard or thirdparty units) or with a base load alternation module MK 200 (max. 4 additional standard or third-party units). Hardware The hardware also has additional features: RENNERtronic Plus has 11 digital inputs (the RENNERtronic has 5), 8 digital outputs (instead of 6), 1 analogue input for a temperature sensor and 3 for pressure transducers and current transformers. Both analogue outputs can be used without an additional module. Energy consumption is thus easy to monitor with the RENNERtronic Plus. System pressure monitoring System pressure is monitored via a pressure transducer at the compressor. The compressor only starts up again after full discharge; the overrun time can also be controlled depending on the system pressure. In addition, the controller checks whether the system pressure is building up, for example to identify a belt failure. 4 RENNERtronic Plus the controller for oil-free air compressors The RENNERtronic Plus controller offers users of oil-free air compressors an ideal, efficient and safe system operation. The controller software is specifically optimised for oil-free compressors and offers many options to set the compressor according to your requirements. In order to exploit all the potentials, it is possible to connect existing compressors to the RENNERtronic Plus. Oil-free SCROLL compressor Water-injected compressor For the multiple compressor systems of the SCROLLline SuperSilent series, the integrated base load alternation switch of the RENNERtronic Plus controller precisely optimises the use of several SCROLL compressors. This allows the performance to be balanced across all the available units. The level of effectiveness of the compressor is optimised by the controller. Status and monitoring messages are shown on a large display and clearly arranged. We have developed additional RENNERtronic Plus features for our water-injected screw compressors: Automatic regulation of the water volume in compressors of the RSW/RSWF series Analysis and regulation of the water quality via an automatic conductivity measurement Optimal control of the frequency converter Please see the previous pages for the standard basic functions of the RENNERtronic and the RENNERtronic Plus. The master machine must have a RENNERtronic. All the other compressors (4 in total) are controlled by the M00 module. Of the 4 additional compressors, at least 2 must have a RENNERtronic. With the RENNERtronic Plus The basic performance features are the same as the RENNERtronic Plus on page 3. A total of 4 other compressors (slaves) can be connected. The compressors can be connected in three ways: via the RS-485 interface (4 slaves possible) via existing inputs and outputs Direct Link (2 slaves possible) via the base load alternation module MK 200 (4 slaves possible) Mixed control is also possible: The delivery rate of the slaves is combined in the current display and in the statistics for informing the master unit. Additional options are open to you with the RENNERtronic Plus one frequency-controlled compressor (to regulate the peak load) or two frequency-controlled compressors (for even capacity utilisation through variable control) can be optimally connected to the base load alternation loss-free, without regulating gaps. The base load compressor can also be determined via a timer. GLW Easy Control up to 3 standard machines via an external base load alternation switch (GLW) GLW Plus (with integrated RENNERtronic Plus) The base load alternation switch in a wall-mounted cabinet has the same features as the internally integrated RENNERtronic Plus (see page 3) as well as the internal base load alternation switch (GLW) with RENNERtronic Plus (see left). RENNER s integrated controller is a higher level, intelligent controller for the optimal management and monitoring of your compressed air station. RENNER integrated controllers are characterised by their high economic efficiency and reliability. By connecting your compressors intelligently and based on consumption, you will not only exploit major energy saving potentials but your machines will also be more reliable. The display has a touch screen and is easy to operate.
