1 Description APAC ADPH-FD-500-1SC extender enables DisplayPort-in and HDMI-out extension up to 500 meters over single multi-mode fibers (OM2). It is definitely lean structure design for DisplayPort to HDMI conversion embbed extension function. APAC ADPH-FD-500-1SC provides a high quality and uncompressed DP to HDMI video transmission. There is not additional conversion cable required for system implementation. A clone-edid function also provides easy to use interface to ensure EDID to source not any compatible issue. Install TX box close to DisplayPort source, such as PC or NB. Step2. Install RX box close to HDMI sink, such as HDMI monitor or projector. Step3. Apply 5V adaptor power to TX box and RX box. Step4. Connect DisplayPort/HDMI cable from TX box to Source, and RX box to Sink. Step5. Connect TX box and RX box through optical fiber cable (1SC). Note 1: Clean fiber connector before plugging in. The dust will impact fiber communication performance. Note 2: The length of DisplayPort/HDMI cable should be NOT longer than 2 meters. Page 3 of 6

4 Self-EDID Programming Procedure Step1. Connect TX to monitor with DP-HDMI cable. Step2. Power on monitor. Step3. Press Clone-EDID button. Step4. If button press time > 3 seconds, EDID will reset to factory default. Step5. LED quick flash then on/off 3 times to indicate EDID process done. Page 4 of 6
