3 3 Introduction The Y-Flow master database was created for use with EFM s (Electronic Flow Meter) and custom applications. Yokogawa will perform a basic setup on all units according to their application before shipping to the customer. This manual is a basic overview of the initial setup used to configure the Y-Flow master database. EFM Configuration Electronic Flow Measurement (EFM) Orifice flow measurement requires the integration of Differential Pressure, Static Pressure and Temperature with adjustments for Specific Gravity and Composition. The EFM contains a full complement of standard Yokogawa processes including API Chapter 21 Compliancy, AGA3 and AGA5 capability and AGA8, Detailed and Gross Methods 1 and 2. The EFM comes complete with an integrated multivariable transmitter for Differential Pressure and Static Pressure along with an RTD (resistance temperature detector). Single and bidirectional measurements are available along with multiple run capability. Data can be read locally on the LCD display or collected with Field Manager. EFM Initial Setup To configure a unit for an EFM connect to the unit with Field Manager. Once connected to the unit go to the edit forms and click on the Main Setup button. The Main Setup page allows for selecting the standard Yokogawa Y-Flow device such as EFM. The user can also select the different hardware options such as Extender Card, Expansion Analog Output modules and 8-Channel OPTO Rack from this page. This page also has buttons for navigating to different options for easy setup and configuration.

4 4 The Measurement Sensors Configuration section of the Main Setup page is used for quick setup for standard Electronic Flow Meters (EFM). This should only be configured on initial setup prior to calibration. Any changes could invalidate the calibration for the pressure transducer. To select the Measurement Type, click on the drop down box and select Yokogawa EFM. The Main Setup page is also used to enable other hardware and software options. To enable different hardware and software options within the database click on the Click For Options drop down box and select Select Y-Flow Options. This will bring up the Y-Flow Hardware and Software Options box on the edit form. Check the items to enable. Hardware Options Extender Card ( ) Enables the database for use with the Y-Flow-Extender. Expansion Analog Output Module ( ) Enables the database for use with the E-Series AO Expansion module. 8-Channel Digital Expansion OPTO Rack ( ) Enables the database for use with the E-Series Digital Expansion module.

5 5 Software Options Log History for Voltage and Miscellaneous Analogs (Inlet Press, Outlet Press etc.) Enables Daily and hourly history logging for Max Voltage, Min Voltage, Case Temp, Avg Inlet Pressure, Avg Outlet Pressure, Avg Saturated BTU, Avg Auxiliary Pressure 1, Avg Auxiliary Press 2, Avg Tank Level 1 and Avg Tank Level 2. Log History for Extended Gas Quality Data (Methane, Ethane etc.) Enables Hourly and Daily history logging for Average SG, BTU, CO2, N2, Methane, Ethane, Propane, i-butane, n-butane, i-pentane, neo-pentane, n-pentane, Hexane, Heptane, Octane, Nonane, Decane, Hydrogen, Helium, O2, Co, H2S, H2O, Argon, C6+, Wobbe, Dewpoint, Density, and Total Sulfur. Once the EFM configuration and any additional hardware and software options have been selected, click on the Send All Changes button to send the configuration down to the unit. To complete the EFM setup click on the Meter Setup button located on the Main Setup page. On this page enter in the pipe diameter, orifice diameter and correction factors for the meter. Click on the Send All Changes button to send any changes. For more custom options refer to the Main Setup section for more information.

6 6 Multi-Run Setup The master database can easily be converted from a single run meter setup to a dual run set up. Using Field Manager, follow the instructions below to set up a meter for a dual or single run application. 1) After connecting to the unit with Field Manager, click on the Tools menu button. 2) Click on Change Config Type. 3) Select the desired run configuration; All Runs Configuration, 1 Run Configuration, or 2 Run Configuration. The All Runs Configuration enables Run 1 and Run 2 along with Validation, Molecular Weight, Ultrasonic Polling and Modbus Master Polling edit forms. Run 1 Configuration enables all edit forms needed for a single run meter and Run 2 Configuration enables all edit forms needed for a dual run meter. 4) Click on the Select button to enable the selected run configuration. Once the run configuration has been selected click on View/Config to view the edit forms.

7 7 Main Setup Overview The Main Setup page allows for selecting the standard Yokogawa Y-Flow device such. The user can also select the different hardware options such as Extender Card, Expansion Analog Output modules and 8-Channel OPTO Rack. This page has buttons for navigating to different options for easy setup and configuration. To enable different hardware and software options within the database click on the Click For Options drop down box and select Select Y-Flow Options. This will bring up the Y-Flow Hardware and Software Options box on the edit form.

8 8 Hardware Options Extender Card ( ) Enables the database for use with the Y-Flow-Extender. Expansion Analog Output Module ( ) Enables the database for use with the E-Series AO Expansion module. 8-Channel Digital Expansion OPTO Rack ( ) Enables the database for use with the E-Series Digital Expansion module. AGA Factors The AGA Factors page shows the calculated numbers that make up the Flow Constant (C ) used in the AGA calculations. Alarm Configuration The Alarm Configuration page is used to set the alarm limits. 9 9 until the user acknowledges it, even if the alarm condition no longer exists. Once acknowledged, the notification goes away. The user may also select the different alarm options for viewing such as Station Alarms, Auto Adjust Alarms and Pressure Logic / ROC by clicking on the Viewing Options dropdown box and selecting Select Alarm Options. The Alarm Pulse Address is used to enable a digital pulse output when the unit goes into alarm. Analog Configuration The Analog Configuration page allows for configuring the different analogs. The analogs must be defined and the High and Low Ranges set before any output readings can be seen. Several options can be selected for viewing on the Analog Information page such as Extender Analogs, Pressure Profiles and Analog Output configuration. To view the different Analog Options click on the Viewing Options drop down menu and select Select Analog Options. Click on the check box to view the different Analog Options on the Analog Configuration edit form. The Main Analog Inputs section are the available onboard analog input channels. In this section the Analog Definition, High Range, Low Range, Fixed Value and reading type (Fixed or Live value) can be set. The Current UnAdjust Reading and Current Adjusted Reading can be read in this section for each on-board Analog Input.

10 10 The Extender analog Inputs section are the available analog input channels on the Y-Flow-Extender. In this section the Analog Definition, High Range, Low Range, Fixed Value and reading type (Fixed or Live value) can be set. The Current UnAdjust Reading and Current Adjusted Reading can be read in this section for each Analog Input on the Y-FLOW-Extender. The Analog Data items are the live analog values being read from the unit. These values can be useful when troubleshooting.

11 11 The Pressure Profile Configuration allows the user to configure the pressure profiles. In this section the user can select the Raw Analog input for each profile, bypass or use the profile, store the profile/transducer serial number, set the range and view the analog output value. The Analog Output sections are used to configure the Y-Flow-Extender onboard Analog output (Analog Output 1) and the Analog

12 12 Outputs from the Y-Flow Expansion AO. These items allow the user to set the high and low scale, set the address channel, read the current analog output value, enable and disable and set the output type. The Gas Quality Conversion section is used to convert percentage to different unit types for international configurations.

13 13 Analyzer Data The Analyzer Data page is used to configure gas quality data. Fixed gas quality can be entered on this page or live values can be read on this page. To enable Auxiliary Gas Quality options, click on the Main Gas Quality Only drop down box and select Auxiliary Gas Quality.

14 14 Auto Adjust The Auto Adjust page is used to configure the auto adjust feature. Auto Dialer (Call-out) The Auto Dialer page is used to set up a unit to periodically call a host computer at a chosen interval. This page is also used to set up the unit to automatically call a host computer when an alarm is triggered.

15 15 Communications Setup The Communications Setup page allows for configuring communications to the Y-Flow. Five ports (serial, USB, Ethernet) can be configured for different types of Modbus (Daniel/Enron, Standard/Modicon, Modbus Serial RTU/ASCII, or Modbus TCP). This page can also be used to configure Gas Chromatograph, MVT communications, Modbus Master, Customer Read Only Modbus, Customer Text Report, and Hardware/EEPROM. To display the different options, click on the Viewing Options drop down box and select Select Comm Options. The Communications Options box will appear. Click on the desired items to be viewed.

16 16 The Information Param section shows valuable information stored in the unit such as Unit Serial Number, Database Revision, Firmware Version, RTU Hardware Type and Contract Hour. The Unit Display section shows Display Type, Auto-Scroll Enable/Disable, Auto-Scroll Interval. Auto-Scroll Pause Interval and Split History Enable/Disable.

17 17 The Passwords and Flow Time section allows the user to set a Configuration Password and Calibration Password in the unit. Also, the Daily History and Hourly History flow times can be set in this section for minutes, seconds, hours and days. The Modbus Slave Port Setup allows the user to set up the communication for Modbus polling of a slave device. Standard set up options include Modbus Type (Daniel/Enron and Modicon/Standard), Modbus Address, Modbus ID, Modbus Mode, Enable/Disable, Floating Point Order, Modbus Port and Modbus Parity. The Outgoing Connections Summary sections gives an overview of the RTU communication with other devices. This sections shows the Com Channel, Poll Interval, Successes and Failures between devices.

18 18 The EEPROM Items section allows the user to easily set up the baud rate for the different communications ports, setting different TCP ports and Ethernet addressing information.

19 19 The Gas Chromatograph Communications Parameters section allows the user to set up polling for a Gas Chromatograph. Customer Data Setup The Customer Data Setup page allows for configuring Modbus read only and simple text reporting.

20 20 Digital Configuration The Digital Configuration page allows for configuring the digital inputs/outputs, pulse outputs, and limit switch valve logic parameters. To show different digital options click on the Viewing Options drop down box and select Select Digital Options. Click on the different items to view. The Main Digitals I/O Configuration section is used to configure the Digital Inputs and Digital outputs on the Y-Flow processor and the Y-Flow-Extender board.

21 21 The OPTO Rack Digitals I/O Configuration section is used to configure the auxiliary digital cards such as the Y-Flow Digital Expansion card. The Digital I/O Data section is used to read the status of different digital items.

22 22 The Pulse Output I/O Configuration section is used to configure the pulse outputs such as specifying the number of pulses to output and on and off times of the pulse outputs. The Limit Switch Valve Reset section is used to configure Valve commands.

23 23 Meter Setup The Meter Setup page allows for configuring the meter runs parameters. Depending upon the initial setup, this page is used to configure the Y-Flow for Orifice, Turbine/PD, Coriolis, V-Cone, and Auto Adjust. This page may look different depending upon the number of runs the Y-Flow is set up for and what configuration was initially selected. Modbus Master Polling The Modbus Master Polling page allows for configuring the communications between the Y-Flow and another device using Modbus communications.

24 24 Molecular Weight Data The Molecular Weight Data page displays the molecular weight calculations based on the gas quality data.

25 25 MVT Configuration The MVT (multi-variable transmitter) Configuration page allows for configuring the Y-Flow or other manufacturer MVT transmitters. To view the External MVT Setup options click on the Viewing Options dropdown box and select External MVT Setup.

26 26 PID Control Setup The PID (Proportional, Integral, and Derivative) Control page allows for configuring the tuning parameters for valve tuning. The configuration supports up to two PID loops with override parameters such as H2S, Moisture, Total Sulfur, and Oxygen. To view the different options click on the Viewing Options dropdown box and select Select PID Options. Click on the desired items to view.

27 27 Quick Polling Setup The Quick Polling Setup page allows for configuring the most common parameters for fast polling and viewing. Satellite Communications The Satellite Communications page allows for configuring the Iridium satellite module communications with the Y-Flow.

28 28 Tube-Run Switching The Tube/Run switching page allows for configuring the Run Switching parameters. Run 2 can automatically open when flow is exceeded on Run 1. The Duration of Relay Pulse selection will execute a script. This script sets the pulse time for opening and closing Run 2. Turbine Meter Profile The Turbine Meter Profile page allows for entering the meter characteristics data for better accuracy. The page supports entering data for both Run 1 and 2. When the unit is set up for a dual run, Run 2 will automatically display on this page.

29 29 Ultrasonic Polling The Ultrasonic Polling page allows for configuring the Modbus communications between the Y-Flow and the ultrasonic meter. The interface supports communications to Daniels, Instromet, and FlowSick600 meters.

30 30 Validation Setup The Validation Setup page allows for configuring preset variables to determine a known flow rate. The Quick Validation Setup selection will execute a script. This script sets known variables for predetermined flow rate calculations. V-Cone Configuration The V-Cone Setup page allows for configuring V-Cone meters. McCrometer and Cameron v-cone meters are supported.

31 31 YZ Odorizer Polling The YZ Odorizer page is used for configuring communications and readings from an Odorizer. To view other YZ functions click on the Viewing Options dropdown menu and select YZ Options. Click on the desired functions to view.
