6 RFID CHIPCOIN ADVANTAGES Ergonomics: you don t have to swipe or to insert the chipcoin into reading devices because it is written and detected at a distance. Speed: the chipcoin supply from the moment of its request to the moment of its writing (date, time and if necessary even the car plate) takes place in less then 2s. Its delivery takes place in less then 1s (the total transit time depends on the driver speed and on the barrier performances) High number of transits: high transit speed allows users high flow and consequently reduction or specialisation of the lanes as entry/exit especially during heavy traffic. No forgery: Rfid tag codes can be changed or copied only by the knowledge of specific protocols and using particular devices that are not so popular as barcode and magnetic stripe devices. Long-life and Security: Rfid tags are practically unalterable thanks to no contact detection and moreover they are not affected by external agents or demagnetization. Reliability: chipcoin reading is not affected by the user skill or by dirtiness, humidity, foreign matter, etc. Recycling: the Rfid tag can be recorded and reused indefinitely without loosing its reliability and performances. Maintenance: no movement parts and no contact decrease drastically the need of preventive and corrective maintenance of reading equipment that is the most critical parts of any identification plant. Flexibility: the chipcoin, taken at the entry station, can be changed into a prepaid one or into a subscription directly at the automatic cashier or even transformed into an occasional token at the cash desks.
