1 Dynaflame & Dynaforce Vector VFD Upgrade Bulletin # 15/04 September 2015 Models Affected: - All Dynaflame, Dynaforce With the introduction of the Camus Advantus which uses a Vector variable frequency drive (VFD) Camus will incorporate this VFD into upcoming production of all Dynaflame and Dynaforce models. The existing power requirements (incoming voltage, full load amps, maximum over current protection) outlined in the I&O manuals will remain the same. Camus will no longer be stocking the AC Tech SCM/SCF drives as production will be shifted to the Vector VFD. The Vector VFD is fully backwards compatible with existing appliances. No additional wires required, however the termination style varies slightly. Performance and safety of the appliance will not be affected with this update. Dimensionally the Vector drive is narrower but longer than an equivalent SCM drive, as a result, mounting of the Vector Drive requires an 1/8 drill bit as new holes need to be drilled into the control panel to locate the Vector drive. The mounting screws are to be located 3-1/8 apart horizontally and 7 apart vertically. Camus will introduce this update through September/October of this year and this changeover will be completed before the end Q The table below outlines the Vector part numbers associated with the Dynaflame, Dynaforce boilers.
