1 PSI-GPRS/GSM-MODEM/RS232- QB Serial mobile communication modem for GSM and GPRS Data sheet _en_03 PHOENIX CONTACT Description The DIN-rail-mountable PSI-GPRS/GSM-MODEM/RS232- QB mobile communication modem is specifically designed to meet industrial requirements for remote communication and alarm generation. It provides global access to machines and systems via GSM connections. Comprehensive security functions prevent unauthorized access. The configurable warning and alarm inputs are a particularly useful feature for remote system monitoring. If these inputs are activated, the modem calls user-defined numbers and sends stored text messages by fax and/or SMS. You can also control additional functions using SMS messages on the switching output via the DIN rail connector. The focus is on EMC, electrical isolation, and surge protection for reliable and secure communication. The automatic sleep function ensures efficient battery operation.
