3 1. Introduction This manual describes about the IM series infrared multiple-constituents analyzer detector unit LAN specification [Model IRMA L or IRMD L ]. IM series infrared multiple-constituents analyzer detector is built in TA-102KR made of the RA Systems Corporation. This manual is explaining about "Setup of TA-102KR" and also "Setup of hypothesis COM port soft Remote COM.". When you use IRMA L or IRMD L please read following instruction manuals. 5 2. Connections 2.1 Laying cables For laying cables, be careful of the following points. (1) Separate cables from induction heating oscillators or power lines. (2) Keep cables not to get water- or oil-stained. (3) Don t bend cables extremely or apply any excessive force to them. (4) For a permanent layout, protect cables with conduits, etc. For conformance to CE (1) Change 2 pieces of the resin cable glands (standard) to the supplied metal cable glands. (2) Attach the supplied ferrite cores to cables. You are required to attach one ferrite core to one cable at a place as close to the cable gland. 2.2 Single-detector unit connection 1) The internal terminal board is accessible by removing the terminal board cover of the detector unit. Lead in the exclusive cable IR-WERP through the upper cable gland 1, and connect them to respective terminals. 2) Lead in the LAN cable through the cable gland 2, and connect to RJ45 (LAN connector). Lead in a signal cable through the cable grand 2. Make sure to use the signal cable with the outer diameter of φ7.0 to 12.5mm. For avoiding the risk of electric shock, make sure to turn off the power source to this detector unit before wiring to the power terminals. Use cables suiting to the applicable outer diameter of the cable gland; otherwise waterproofing of the detector unit may deteriorate. Tighten the cable glands with the nuts and fix the terminal board cover securely after wiring. 6 3. Installation 3.1 Default setting of dipswitches It is not required to change the settings of the internal dipswitches of this detector unit. The above has been set as the default settings at shipment. 3.2 Cofirmation items in case of none LAN communications Cofirmation the setting of dipswitch 2 Confirm No.3 of the dipswitch 2 to ON. Make sure to turn off the power source to this unit before removing the data display cover. 1) Loosen four pieces of the M4 hexagon socket cap screws fixing the data display cover. 2) The data display cover is connected with internal components by cables. Remove the data display cover carefully not to damage to the cables. 3) Set No.3 of the dipswitch 2 to ON (upper side). Remove these four bolts. 7 3. Installation 3.2.2Confirmation the socket of CPU board Confirm that 2 sockets are plugged to the pin of the CPU board. CPU board Make sure to turn off the power source to this unit before removing the data display cover. 1) Turn off the power supply that is supplying it to the detector unit 2) Loosen four pieces of the M4 hexagon cap screws fixing the data display cover and remove the data display cover only a little. As the data display cover is connected with internal components by cables, carefully remove the cover not to scratch the cables. Data display cover Display board connector (26 pins) Power board connector (7 pins) 3) Be careful to connecting of power board connector and display board connector, and confirm that the socket is plugged in the correct position of the CPU board. [In case of that the socket is plugged in the correct position of the CPU board] Confirm whether the socket is plugged in the position of the figure on the left neatly. -5-

8 4. Software for LAN communications 4.1 TA Remote setup This software acts on Widows and is used to control and program the LAN adapter TA-120KR on LAN.(TA-120KR is built to IRMA L or IRMD L.) This software acts on Windows. The IM series operates this LAN adapter as a socket server. IM series infrared multiple-constituents analyzer detector is built in TA-102KR made of the RA Systems Corporation. 4.2 Remote COM This tool is the software for treating IM series that is connected on LAN as COM port of PC. In the case of using the data logging software IM-WEF and using the customer s exclusive serial communication application for the IM series, Remote COM needs to be used. But Remote COM is not necessary, in case of using the customer s exclusive socket client application for the IM series. 4.3 Supply of software (1) The software of the above [4.1TA remote arrangement] and [4.2RemoteCOM] is supplied as exe file. Also the manual is supplied as pdf file by [IM series utility software CD-ROM]. (2) The folder constitution of CD-ROM is as follows. LAN adapter TA-102KR setup and operation parameter setting 5.1 LAN adapter setup Refer to [TA Remote Setup Operation Manual] for LAN adapter setup. 5.2 Explanation and setting value of the operation parameter Refer to [3. Operation parameters] in [LAN adapter TA-100KR series Setup Manual] for the explanation and setting value of the operation parameter. exe file and pdf manual are housed into the TA Remote folder inside "IM series utility software" CD-ROM. 5.3 Implement the next item Please set and confirm the following items. 10 5.4 Setting acquisition of the TA-100KR series When you implement the above [4-7 Setting acquisition] in [TA Remote Setup Operation Manual], [Getting setup of TA-100KR series] window is displayed. 1) Set up the next (1) to (16) in accordance with the window. (1) Local IP address (2) Local port number: Operate the default (1) or change it as occasion demands. In case of clicking the Return button in here [Getting setup of TA-100KR series] screen fades away and return to the [4-3 Search] window. Refer to [3. Operation parameters] in [LAN adapter TA-100KR series Setup Manual] about the operation parameters of above (1) to (16) up. 5. LAN adapter TA-102KR setup and operation parameter setting 5.5 Confirmation of operation mode 1) Confirm that Operation mode is NORMAL OPERATIN. 2) In case of SET UP displaying, implement next [Mode change] 5.5 Mode change 1) Change the mode in reference to [4-8 Mode change] in [TA Remote Setup Operation Manual]. 2) Select the radio button of an NORMAL OPERATION and please click the O.K. button. 11 Refer to [TA Remote Setup Operation Manual] for installation and starting of Remote COM. Setup program is housed into the RmtCom setup setup.exe folder inside "IM series utility software" CD-ROM. And pdf manual is housed into + RemoteCOM-E.pdf inside "IM series utility software" CD-ROM. 1) After installation and starting set the following item in reference to 11 pages (New COM Port Registration and Update] in [RemoteCOM Operation Manual] 2) New COM port registration and update Select Setup and Register New and display the Setup dialog. Item Setting contents COM port This COM port is hypothesis COM port and is not the COM port that exists on hardware.select any of the COM port numbers that are displayed. The COM port number that was set up here is set up to the COM port of data logging software IM-WEF or serial communication application. IP Address Input the IP address of the LAN adapter that set up it with [TA remote Setup]. Port Number Input the default or Local port number changed at "TA Remote Setup". 3) Last, check the check box of Setup of a TA-100KR series performed simultaneously and click the [OK] button. Implement it in accordance with the instructions of the window, after that This RemoteCOM is started automatically at the time of personal computer starting. In case of implements the completion of the application thereafter data logging software does not act. 7. Setting of data logging software IR-WEF 1) Click the Setup button at the main window. 2) [Setting/Management Setup window] is displayed. Click the Main Setup button. 3) [Main Setup window] is displayed. Set up the same value as the COM port that set up it to the communication port with RemoteCOM. and click the Update button.
