3 About Louisville s Airports Louisville International Airport (SDF) Just 10 minutes from downtown, Louisville International Airport is a low-fare airport that draws travelers within a 200-mile radius of the city.louisville International offers nonstop or connecting service to hundreds of destinations worldwide. Louisville International ranks third in North America and ninth in the world in the total amount of cargo handled as home of UPS s international air-sorting hub. The airport handled 4.8 billion pounds of cargo, freight and mail in Bowman Field Bowman Field, established in 1919, is the longest continuously operating, general aviation airport in the United States. It is conveniently located approximately 5 miles from downtown Louisville. Bowman Field is situated on 426 acres. There are 17 buildings, including the historic art deco Administration Building that was built in 1929.

Strange Steve Trager Executive Director The executive director of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority is Charles T. Skip Miller. As executive director, Miller implements board policies and oversees a staff of about 180 who handle day-to-day operations, maintenance, and administration. Charles T. Skip Miller

5 Position Description Under the administrative direction of the Deputy Executive Director of Operations/Chief Operations Officer, is responsible for implementing, administering and maintaining all Authority information systems, functions of the Information Technology (IT) Department, and setting a strategic direction to support all users. Provide direct supervision to IT staff including the Network Administrator and Help Desk Specialist. Responsible for monitoring and updating the Oracle EBS, customer support service request center (or other identified systems) as well as configuring users and assigning responsibilities. Configures, updates and maintains the Authority s intranet, and manages installation, maintenance of Authority personnel computers and help desk services. Responsible for daily monitoring of all servers to ensure optimum performance. Ensure backup of all server data on an established schedule including: daily, monthly and as designated. Evaluates reports about problems, performance and utilization of systems. Evaluates the current and future system needs of the Authority and recommends and implements changes to ensure compliance and system security. Projects future hardware, software, network services, and IT infrastructure needs to support Authority business needs. Develops long-and short-term work, and operational schedules. Responsible for development and recommendation of IT policies and procedures for security, disaster recovery plan, service provision, annual operation budget, capital equipment and capital projects budgets. May assist with developing or recommending specifications, or identify hardware or software for RFP s or to be purchased by user groups.

6 Position Requirements Bachelor s Degree in computer or information systems, or a related field with extensive training in a Microsoft business environment. Good oral and written communication skills. Certified Netware Administrator. Microsoft Certified Professional desired. Must possess a valid driver s license, and maintain LRAA driving privileges including airfield and escort. Five years of demonstrated progressive experience in the Microsoft business environment, and Information Systems. Experience must include network administration, with at least one year experience with Oracle EBS preferred. A minimum of three years responsible supervisory experience (preferably in an IT environment). Ability to service IT equipment and systems and navigate all areas of LRAA necessary to service, maintain, monitor or evaluate systems and/or equipment. Work assignments may include exposure to inclement weather. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted. How to Apply Apply online at
