1 The ACPO provides a template for forces nationally to implement procedures to improve the Police response in tackling Organised Immigration Crime (OIC) and Human Trafficking (HT). The aim of implementing measures set out in the Plan is to raise the standard over the next 12 months of the UK police response, at a strategic and operational level, so that by March 2014 the UK will be a more hostile place for facilitators and traffickers to operate. The Plan is flexible to allow forces to implement according to local processes and procedures, however aims to standardise a response nationally. Reporting on delivery will be monitored through the ACPO Regional representative s group lead by the ACPO lead for Migration and Associated Matters. Although Child Trafficking will be included, this plan does not cover Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) for which there is a CEOP Action Plan.
