18 CONCLUSION SDN/NFV can deliver on its promises for addressing the challenges but it is NOT a magic wand SDN/NFV has a strong impact on network operations and a lot of traditional rules have to be revisited Service agility and new business opportunities should be considered in addition to the cost benefits Only implementation of SDN/NFV performed on a large scale will allow to face the market conditions in the long run 18
