3 IM - 01 Configuration for centrally monitoring all events and logs generated in a system This configuration is used to centrally monitor events and logs generated in a system in order to manage them in an integrated manner. 4 OA - 01 Configuration for automatically collecting and visualizing the IT system configuration in order to investigate and analyze the cause of a failure and the scope of impact If a failure occurs in an IT infrastructure that is integrated by virtualization and cloud environments, this configuration allows you to quickly perform recovery by easily analyzing and investigating the cause of the failure from various perspectives. Conditions assumed in this example configuration IT Operations Analytics server Number of servers: 1 OS: Managed devices Number of devices: 10 Notes: - The number of managed devices is the sum of the number of virtual machines, the number of virtual environments (hypervisors), and the number of operating systems on physical servers or logical partitions. Even if network devices, storage devices, and middleware are discovered or detected, they do not need to be included in the number of managed devices. - The IT Operations Analytics viewer requires a web browser environment. 5 OA - 02 Configuration for investigating and analyzing, based on various types of event information, the cause and the scope of impact of a failure by linking with other JP1 products In this configuration, JP1/Operations Analytics is used in conjunction with other JP1 products to help you investigate and analyze the causes of failures and to enable fast recovery. The integrated console (JP1/ Integrated Management - Manager) collects and centrally monitors various types of information that can be later used for analysis. This information includes log information, information about various events that occur in the system, information about jobs and jobnets for automating routine tasks (managed by the job scheduler JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3), and the operating status of middleware monitored by JP1/Performance Management. In the configuration on the right, the job management server, operating performance monitoring manager, and event management server are managed by the IT Operations Analytics server. In the configuration on the right, the IT Operations Analytics server, job management server, operating performance monitoring manager, and event management server are managed by the event management server. A web browser is required to use the IT Operations Analytics viewer and the operating performance monitoring viewer. When counting the required number of licenses for JP1/IM - Manager, devices on which JP1/IM - Manager [View] is installed do not need to be included.
