2 About our instructor Denisse Vadell is Co-founder, Operations Manager and a Certified Instructor at SDT Learning Corp., a leading computer based learning and training center providing integrated training solutions and services for companies. Since its foundation in 1997, SDT Learning, Corp. has assisted, trained and provided services to over 2,000 companies and about 20,000 students. Born in Puerto Rico, his mother Elba I Rodríguez and father Miguel Vadell were both related to the banking industry. Ms. Vadell commitment to excellence at her work and customer service became strongly influenced by his parents. In 1988, Ms. Vadell enrolled in the Computer Sciences at the University of Sacred Heart. While studying at USC, he was appointed as a T.A. for a Computational Course and also became a Research assistant developing an artificial intelligence program. During the spring semester of 1991 she participated in SERS (Science and Engineer Research Semester) at Oak Ridge, Tennessee National Laboratory, where she researched and successfully linked C++ programming applications with existing Smalltalk applications. She also worked as a Computer Technician at the Academic Computer Center and prior to completing his degree at the USC, he became a Technical Instructor for the Department of Continued Education. While teaching at the USC, Ms. Vadell was responsible for teaching desktop applications for adults. In 1992 she received the Portico Award for Academic Achievement. After graduation, she was hired by Mediafax Inc and worked as Programmer Analyst. After years at Mediafax, she became an Instructor at Oracle Caribbean and often traveled to different islands in the Caribbean to teach Official Oracle Courses. In 1997, Ms. Vadell, already a Senior Instructor at Oracle Education, upon the company s decision to restructure the department, took the initiative and together with her husband José Pérez- Bobadilla, founded and inaugurated SDT Learning, Corp.. As an Instructor, Ms. Vadell has frequently traveled to offer numerous technology seminars and professional skill trainings in the continental US, the Caribbean and Latin America. She won the Outstanding Instructor Quality award consecutively in 2001 and 2002.
