3 Upgrading Information: Repository If you are upgrading from any version of Insight, please note that Insight may require a new license key. You will need to obtain a new License Key from Customer Services. Once this is received, please perform a replace in order to retain your License Assignments. For more information on upgrading, please see the section below on Upgrade Information or contact Customer Services. Prior to upgrading, please make sure your Insight Object Repository is backed up (using your current Administration Application). This backup is essential for all types of installs, whether you are installing this version in parallel with an existing previous version or, alternatively, as a new stand alone installation. Any upgrade to requires a new repository to be created. All previous repositories from V9.0.x to Summer 2011 used Microsoft.NET Framework 2.0. Insight now requires Microsoft.NET Framework 4.0. Therefore if upgrading from V9.0.x or higher you will need to backup your current production repository and then restore into a new repository created in This must be done in order to login to the version. 5 Upgrading Information: Database Script Update If you are upgrading from an Insight version prior to v9.0.x, you will need to upgrade to the latest v upgrade build prior to upgrading to this current release. If you are upgrading your Insight version, you will need to follow a process by which a script is run over your Oracle Database. It is highly recommended to use a different Schema for the new Insight release if planning to run your existing Insight release in parallel. After running the database script you will need to confirm all Profile Connections in Insight Administrator for SP3 are using the correct username and password. (The database script allows a unique username to be used. Please check with your DBA to get the correct username credentials to use in the Data Connections). You will then have to run through the Profile so it can update with any new tables and views that SP3 uses. Please note: This should be done in conjunction with an InsightSoftware.com customer service representative who will provide you with the relevant script for Insight release SP3 to be run on your Oracle Database. Recommendations for All Clients It is highly recommended that clients switch to using the Built In Data Provider for their Data Connections. Issues have been reported with the Oracle Client Data Provider and ODBC Data Provider. Dynamic Flex Field Utilization in Oracle E-Business Suite If Dynamic Flex Fields are utilized in Oracle EBS, data may not display as expected within Insight Reporting. Please inform Customer Service if using Dynamic Flex Fields and inform them which tables and fields are utilized. Page 5 of 8

6 In addition to the list below, SP3 also includes all fixes up to and including SP2. Designer Express Updates Oracle database & Designer Express defined padding that is not the same now returns the correct results on the report for the columns joined. General Updates No longer receive an error when opening a report with a hierarchy that has storing a large amount of data in the temp table where the field stored as CHAR is larger than one byte. Able to export a report pack without any errors as well as toggle between reports and the Insight application successfully. Can successfully open and run a report that contains dynamic flex fields as a column. Calculations stored in Reusable Inquiry Objects (RIO) now work successfully on subscribed reports. Calculation defined using a decimal operator (e.g. (GA AMT) * 1,5) now correctly displays the results when using Italian regional settings. Changes can be made appropriately now in the Chart Series Option Tab and are properly reflected in the chart. Drilling down on a Value Column from a source inquiry now correctly passes only the value column data to the target inquiry. The Save As Dialog now properly shows the defined default location for the reports being exported to excel or PDF. Upgraded reports that have 'year' as a dimension in a Hierarchy no longer error when they are imported and used in newer versions of Insight. When the user selects to display Data & Chart they are now properly displayed each time the report is run. Page 6 of 8

Module Updates AP: Live AP Trial Balance now shows correct Functional Amount values. AP: AP Supplier Master File Template now returns complete results of all suppliers.

AP: AP Invoices and Payments R12 and AP Invoice Distributions R12 templates have had their links updated to include the Purchase Order R12 Template. FA: Asset Listing, Asset NBV Schedule and Depreciation Detail Templates now display correct Adjusted Cost and NBV amounts. GL: Transactions AP report now shows much better performance when drilled from GL Transactions Summary Template. GL: Code Combination column is now made available on both Transactions AP and AR Templates and both the templates returned results correctly. GL: On the Transactions AP R12 (Linking Only) template, we have replaced the Effective Date with the Accounting Date filter and the template now consistently runs successfully for different Accounting date values. GL: YTD periods now pass to target Balances inquiry (passing to Transaction inquiry is not currently supported) when YTD Period is set to a different value from the source report, but the same value as the source is available in the list of values available. GL: Transactions AP R12 Template now has a drill link to Purchase Orders R12 Template. PA: Conditional Calculation works correctly and display data as expected on PA Project Summary by GL Period Template. PA: Value column description changed from Invoice Amount to Revenue Amount on the GL to PA Drill (Revenues) Template. POP: PO Receipts Template has been amended to display the correct amounts for Quantity Billed in R12. POP: In the PO Receipts Template the visual assist heading for Vendor now properly reads "Vendor Number" rather than Order Number. Scheduler Updates Scheduler service for 64-bit version of Insight now starts and runs properly. Page 7 of 8
