1 User Story: The app is used by the ChaRM IT operator which handles the import of transports into a system landscape. The IT Operator is part of the IT department, a team which provides and handles the systems for the line of business. He is flexible, working part time from home, f.e. at weekends when systems are upgraded. The App should help the IT Operator trigger system imports with change cycles (bundled changes/a list of transports) not only from his desktop but from mobile devices. Before, the import the IT operator should get an estimated overview of the time needed for the import to be done. This is displayed via an overview of the transport objects depending on the change cycle. Additionally, the status of the system import can be checked with a drill down to the transport log and it is possible to inform involved people in case of issues. Possible options are the creation of an incident, send an or call the colleague. Be aware that the app uses the Change Request Management (ChaRM) functionality of SAP Solution Manager. More information can be found here: Background: Changes to which transport requests are assigned are bundled under a change cycle. The change cycle represents the different stages of software lifecycle (scope, build, test, go-live). There are different types of change cycles, f.e. Continual Cycles for Maintenance only, Project Cycles for Implementation projects and Release Cycles for release development.

Caren wants to have mobile access for this task, so she can coordinate her life better. For example do home office when her daughter is ill. Caren When at home I want to check issues and when there are some, I don t want to log on my computer desktop so I can inform the developers. Caren wants to be execute her tasks faster. Mobile devices start faster, are more convenient to use for fast checks. There is no functionality automatically inserting the information of the import issue into an or a created incident. Caren If there are import issues, the analysis should be automatic/guided Caren is tired of doing the process manually, she thinks it, instead it could be automated. She does not want to analyze all the time what kind of issue this is by checking the transport log. It's always the same, RC 12 means there are general issues, so the IT department has to check the system. RC 8 means, there are generation errors, the developers have to check. RC 4 is warnings and can be ignored. Caren Depending on the issue, I want to follow-up in the correct way. Depending what day and import issue it is, I have to follow-up differently. In the week, the fastest way is to contact the developer by mail or phone when a generation issue exists. At the weekend, I better create an incident as well. But for general system import issues, I always create an incident as the IT department hosting the systems is external. So, I need all three types of communication. Link to Design Study 88
