1 How To Deliver An Apology From a Dead Person By Amanda Linette Meder One of the primary reasons deceased people come back from the other side is to apologize. They apologize for their own behavior, they apologize for other people s behavior, and they apologize for hardships they knew about, but could do nothing to change. In some cases, the deceased come back to apologize as a way to provide closure to an event that s currently unfolding, and those involved have no way of apologizing on their own. Apologizing, and the act of it, takes courage, it takes authenticity, and it also takes a certain level of vulnerability. Not all people, while alive, reach the level of soul growth they need to achieve in their current lifetime, in order to deliver the apology you deserve. So what can happen is that others will step forward on their behalf to do so. In other cases, a deceased person comes through to apologize for a family pattern that contributed to something that hurt you, or for something they themselves did to you while they were alive. This too, takes courage. 1

2 When a deceased person wants to come through for an apology, you ll often be able to sense that something is up. They may stand back and off to the distance, and behave kind of like they are shy. They may openly worry if they should ve come, if so and so is going to want to hear from them, or whether or not they should just leave. They may fear telling you, the medium, what they are actually apologizing for, in fear that you ll drop them - and refuse to bring through their message (this is true for especially heinous crimes). When you are bringing through a deceased person for an apology, and you know that s what is about to happen, there are a few things you can do to make sure the message is delivered in the smoothest, most seamless way. How To Deliver An Apology From a Dead Person 1. Prep the Spirit. Spirits are people. And many of the people who come through to apologize in death, are doing so, because they never apologized while alive. What this means is they may need some coaching, prepping, and emotional encouragement on your end in order to get the message out. Just as you would take the time to pump up your friend in the restroom to approach a guy, take some time before you deliver the message to help your spirit-person feel confident. Also, go over their points with them beforehand, so both you and they are confident in what they are going to say. 2

3 2. Prep the Client. If you have a spirit who you know wants to come through for a heartfelt apology, take a few minutes to clear the energy of the client you are meeting with before the session. Imagine cloaks of grief coming off them, the vault to their heart opening like a door, and coat them in divine light. When someone has booked a session with you, they have given you permission to work with their energy (and your energy and Spirit s energy) to get the message across and doing so is especially helpful in apology cases, as backlash is quite common. 3. Brace Yourself. When someone receives an apology they ve been waiting for, perhaps their entire life, a lot of pent up emotions are released - anger, frustration, hurt, exposure, etc. These emotions are often directed at the medium, though they are meant for the spirit, because the medium is the face of the message. Protect yourself energetically, always, before delivering an apology based message - even if you have to pause for a minute during your delivery to put on a shield or call in AA Michael - it is always worth the effort. 4. Be Firm, Be Certain People want to know that, first and foremost, that whoever is delivering the apology means it. What this means is that you, as the deliverer, can t waiver, can t say you don t know, can t even say that you may be getting it wrong. If a Spirit looks sorry, they are sorry. If they feel sorry, they are sorry. 3

4 Say so. Extra point: To maintain a client s privacy, especially if the client is a very private person, remember that the spirit speaking won t always tell you exactly what was done, or even what they are sorry for specifically, though they may allude to it with symbolism and metaphors. If this happens, do not push. If they aren t telling you, it s because the client doesn t really want you (or probably anyone) to know. Respect the privacy and you can ask your guides later, if you are still dying to find out. In some cases, a client will come forward following the session to let you know exactly what happened. Though this is rare. 5. Reiterate the Point and End on a High Note Whenever a Spirit apologizes, I always ask them what they are going to be doing to make up for it. Usually the Spirit offers this information up, but not always. Since it s usually happening anyway and people feel reassured when they know that no one is getting off the hook, I try to include it. It s at this time at the end of the message when you can go over signs, visitation methods or other forms of redemption used by the Spirit World. At the end of delivering an apology, make sure to thoroughly clear your space. Apologies release stored emotion on both ends, and that energy is usually released into the space where the transaction took place. In other words, at your house. Clear the space as much as you can following an apology-based session then recap with your guides, who will likely have some words of praise for you. Delivering apologies is not easy and doing so, often takes courage in the 4

5 heart of the medium - because while you never know how it can go - you know how important the healing can be - so you bite the bullet to do it anyway. 5
