7 SMIL for MM Presentations (SMIL 2.0) SMIL stands for Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language (pronounced smile ) Supported by the MMS standard A SMIL presentation can be a mix of audio, video, images and text in any combination Allows you to change layout (e.g., landscape, portrait), set timing of the objects and format the text SMIL is a W3C standard supported on PC software!
