2 OVERVIEW Bundling five CM-1 Climate Monitors, the CM-5 is a great solution for multiple room set ups. The CM-5 offers an on-board temperature sensor, an expansion port and, the CM-5 bundle scales video up to enable 20 cameras. The CM-5 comes with specialist management software, enabling the customisation of each units alarms for full monitoring of your rack room and giving you absolute piece of mind on the state of your valuable IT hardware. The CM-5 is the ideal solution for multi cabinet server environments. The data is stored in a SQL database. The software uses alarm thresholds from your units to colour-code the interface, so you can tell at a glance if something is wrong. View graphs to compare trends across several units. Update the firmware on many units simultaneously. Enter the details for an alarm threshold and the software will create the alarm for each unit you select.

3 CM-1 The CM-1 Climate Monitor offers a massive range of options given its tiny size. The onboard temperature sensor is just the beginning of what the CM-1 is capable of. Using Expansion Hubs you can link up to 16 additional sensors, giving you a flexible approach to your server room set up at an affordable price. Connect analogue sensors to the CM-1 using a CCAT analogue to digital interface. Up to 4 cameras (per CM-1) can be connected with the output of all visible on the unit s home page enabling the IT manager to see precisely the situation. 5 INSTALLATION The CM-1 can be screw-mounted using the mounting holes or tie-wrapped to a cabinet rail. No client software or other support software is needed. Installation is simple using an intuitive web interface. Use DHCP or assign a static IP address. All connections are made through the front panel. No client software or installation CD is required. The user connects an Ethernet cable, sets the IP address and begins using the unit. 6 CONSOLE SOFTWARE The Console Software (CS-3) offers an efficient way to aggregate data from any of Climate s intelligent power distribution products, including remote power monitoring, environmental monitoring, variable speed fan control and remote outlet control units. The ability to monitor and update hundreds of Climate web-enabled devices from a single IP address makes CS-3 an invaluable tool. Each monitored device is displayed with a colour- coded status bar for easy visual indication of alarm or normal readings, along with a webcam image associated with the corresponding unit (if available). Real-time measurement data for individual readings, such as temperature or real power, can be displayed in bar graph format, allowing a data-center-wide view of specific conditions. These same readings can be viewed as comparison graphs via an aggregate view, enabling instant identification of locations that are under-performing or affected during specific time periods. Trend analysis can also show data centre hot spots or help in recreation of notable events. Each graphed variable provides click-through access back to the main unit for user convenience. The CS-3 software also includes standard pages to help with configuration, alarm management, and logged data management, as well as a full help menu with detailed descriptions of each page and its functions. Home Page Displays as a thumbnail image (when provided by an associated webcam) for each user selected IP unit, along with the units IP address, device name, and colour coded unit status Alarms page Set low and high trip levels, in addition to alarm notification method, across multiple sensors and units in one easy step. Graphs page Comparison graphing of user selected measurement values across your installation. Instantly identify locations which are underperforming or are affected during specific time periods.
