Lecture method shall be used for all units. For all unit lecture delivery shall be supplemented with audiovisual aids for the topics namely Network, Protocols, OSI Layer Architecture, Ethernet standards, etc. For Unit 2 to 3 hands-on sessions shall be conducted with emphasis on Error Detection, Error Correction techniques. Self Study of following part of the syllabus shall be done by the students: 1.2 Network (Topology), 4.1 IEEE standards Ms. Anju John 3
4 Activities/Practicum: The following activities shall be carried out by the students. 1. Identify topologies and network architectures including all types of hardware in campus. 2. Develop a project where s/he can implements various protocols used for the communication. The following activities shall be carried out by the teacher. 1. Demonstration of various networking devices to the students. May be a teacher can take students to visit the computer labs. 2. Demonstration of the OSI Layer Architecture by audio/video aids.
