3 PLC s Manual 3 1. System Configuration The wemx supports Mitsubishi QnA Serial Communication as below. CPU Link I/F Communication Type Settings Cable RS-232C 3.1 Example RS-232C Q03UDECPU QJ71C24N RS-485 (2 wired) 3.2 Example RS-485 Connection Configuration 1 1 : 1 (One wemx and one external device) Connection Available with RS-232C/RS : N (One wemx and certain number of external devices) Connection Available with RS-485(2 wire).
4 4 Mitsubishi Q Series QnA Serial Communication 2. System Settings Select QnA Serial Communication in the Add Device/PLC setting window. Select a COM port if necessary, following a communication type. COM COM1 COM2 COM3 COM4 wemx N Series RS-232C RS-232C Do not use ( Debug Port) RS-485(2 wired) Set up the selected COM port interface to the device. Items Description Speed Select one: 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400, and Data Length Select 7 or 8. Parity Select one: NONE, EVEN and ODD. Stop Bit Select 1 or, 2. Flow Bit Select one: NONE, ER(DTR/CRS), XON/XOFF. Timeout Standby time for communication (Unit: seconds) Retry The number of attempts to communicate after a failure. Wait to Send Time to wait before sending a message to the external device (Unit: milliseconds) - This is the time required to wait every time before sending to the device. Delayed Interval This is the time required to wait after the external device finishes reading values for addresses to the screen. (Unit: milliseconds) Start to read those values again after waiting as long as delayed intervals.

Refer to the PLC user Manual for more information. 1 Run the GX Works and then double-click PLC Parameter in the Project window. 2 Select I/O Assignment tab in the Q Parameter Settings window.
