Virtual Office Technical Requirements Purpose Purpose for this document is to provide customers with a checklist of technical requirements, functionality, and capabilities necessary to prepare their network and agent workstations to interoperate with 8x8 s Virtual Office and Virtual Office Pro. Requirements Network Wiring PoE (recommended) Packet loss Jitter Network latency At least Cat 5 (preferably Cat 6) wiring to each user Polycom phone PoE requirements: VVX3xx/4xx phones (max consumption 6.5W) default to PoE Class 2 signature to the PoE Switch (Minimum Power Levels at Output of PoE switch 7.0W) When an Expansion Module is connected (max consumption 13W), the hard-wired signature reverts to PoE Class 0 (Minimum Power Levels at Output of PoE switch 15.4W) 0% packet loss < 20ms jitter < 100ms latency to 8x8 s data centers If running a converged network for voice and data QoS (Quality of Service) End-to-end QoS (recommended) Configure VLAN s to separate the traffic Configure on premises to prioritize voice traffic (with the assistance and advice from 8x8) Customer shall connect to 8x8 via an MPLS network, such connection to be verified and approved by 8x8 Subnets You must allow traffic from these 8x8 subnets through your firewall /22 Subnets / / / /24 Version 3.0 Rev. 1.0 i

Virtual Office Technical Requirements UDP and TCP Ports for Router QoS These UDP and TCP ports are required to be opened with the highest QoS setting on your router to allow communication for 8x8 devices, services and applications.
