Purpose Ethernet Internet Access (EIA) Ordering Process for UNI & EVC This document is intended as an aid to Frontier Customers for the purpose of ordering.

2 Purpose Ethernet Internet Access (EIA) Ordering Process for UNI & EVC This document is intended as an aid to Frontier Customers for the purpose of ordering. This ordering process will allow the Wholesale Customer to order a UNI Circuit and EVC using Frontier s NNI to carry the Ethernet Traffic. Announcements Frontier is offering lower rates for Ethernet Internet Access (EIA) product. The following guidelines must be followed when ordering the lower rates. 1. An EIB contract must be in place 2. Applies to New Activity (EIB contract may not be used for existing services or pending orders) Ordering Guidelines 1. New Frontier Custom Business Rules have been deployed to validate EIA Services have been ordered with the appropriate Contract ID. 2. If an EIB contract was signed and the EIA contract number was used on an order, the following error will be received in this scenario: EIB contract found, update PNUM to reflect correct contract 2018 Frontier Corporation All rights reserved 2

3 Processing Steps Overview Ethernet Internet Access (EIA) Ordering Process for UNI & EVC 1. Ethernet Internet Access is when a Wholesale Customer wants to request Access to the Internet using a Frontier NNI to carry the traffic. Steps below must be followed in order obtain the best possible Provisioning of the EIA Service. 2. Key Points: a. ALL EIA Service Requests must be Coordinated with the Frontier Account Team. If this does not happen, there could be a delay in Service order provisioning. b. Customers will order 1 UNI and 1 EVC. c. Project Manager will provide to Customer the following detail that must be included on the EVC ASR NNI/CLF used on RUID 2 of EVC Mapping Detail EVCSP Rad NID CLLI Code used for RUID 2 of EVC Mapping Detail REMARKS on EVC ASR needs to include o IP Address o FULL NNI/CLF ID for RUID 2 o End User Name from UNI ASR Must match the Company Name on the IP Request (field 1a) d. TOS field on EVC Level of Service Mapping Detail will be used for Provisioning to determine the design of the EVC as WAN/LAN or FLAT LAN 3. Expedites are allowed on EIA 4. COMBO ordering is not available for EIA. 5 Step 1 Account Team 1. Customer will contact their Account Manager a. Customer must sign a valid Contract for EIA Step 2 Account Manager/Sales Engineer 1. Review EIA ASR Ordering Process with Customer a. Customer is given an IP REQUEST FORM to populate b. IP REQUEST FORM must be returned prior to issuance of the EVC Order. 6 Step 3 Customer 1. Customer will place order for UNI 2. Once FOC is received on UNI, Customer must submit IP REQUEST FORM back to the Sales Engineer Note: Customer must return the IP REQUEST FORM in order to issue the EVC Order ASR Form Administrative (required) DDD REQTYP ACT Standard UNI New Connect Interval (20 business days) ED N QSA 01 SEI RTR UNIT Y, this will default when the VFO Service type of Enduser Switched Ethernet is chosen on New Order Creation drop down menu F C PIU 100 CKR QTY 01 BAN SPEC Remarks Billing (Key fields) optional E or if known CABS billing account number ETHACC Pertinent details related to Service Request Customers billing information: Bill Name Bill address Contact and telephone numbers FUSF VTA PNUM Contact E Determined during contract negotiations, 1, 2, 3 or 5 year term plans. Months must be entered in the VTA field. 12, 24, 36, or 60 Must begin with EIA or EIB, followed by contract number. 8 Step 4 Frontier Automation Step 5 Project Manager Step 6 Customer Frontier will provide FOC on the UNI circuit. 1. Project Manager will return the Frontier NNI and Rad NID CLLI to the Customer. Information will be used when EVC PON is submitted. a. NNI will be used in UREF 2 (RUID field) b. Rad NID CLLI will be used in UREF 2 (EVCSP field) NOTE: EVC cannot be issued without this information. CLF is given for the Frontier NNI. The CLF ID will not entirely fit in the RUID UREF 2. Place as much as possible in the RUID 2 field and then place the entire CLF ID in Remarks on the ASR Form. 1. Now the EVC can be issued Frontier Corporation All rights reserved 8

9 Step 7 Customer 1. Customer will issue the EVC PON. Key fields to be updated include: ASR Form Administrative (required) DDD REQTYP ACT RTR EVCI UNIT DDD should carry the same Due Date of the UNI and carry a minimum of 6 Business Days. SD N F A, this will default when the VFO Service type of Standalone EVC is chosen on New Order Creation drop down menu in VFO C PIU 100 QTY 01 BAN Remarks Billing (Key fields) E or if known CABS billing account number Pertinent details related to Service Request. Entire NNI/CLF provided by Frontier IP ADDRESS and provided by Frontier End User Name from UNI ASR, this must also match the Company Name on IP Request Form (1A) Customers billing information: Bill Name Bill address Contact and telephone numbers ACNA FUSF PNUM Contact Customers Billing ACNA E Must begin with EIA or EIB, followed by contract number.
