Connector Description Amazon S3 (Simple Storage Service) is a scalable, high-speed, low-cost web storage service that can be used to store and retrieve any amount of data, at any time, from anywhere on the web. It is designed to make web-scale computing easier for developers. The webmethods CloudStreams Amazon S3 Connector provides write, read and delete access to the Amazon S3 business objects. The connector makes it simple to integrate webmethods CloudStreams with the SaaS Amazon S3, either on premise or in the cloud, and exposes access to the S3 buckets and objects within the Amazon.com instance. Amazon S3 stores data objects from 1 byte to 5 terabytes in size. Objects are organized into buckets (each owned by an Amazon Web Services account), and are identified within each bucket by a unique, user-assigned key. The connector is populated with all the data fields available for the corresponding objects in Amazon.com. At run time, objects in CloudStreams are automatically synchronized with their source counterparts, and the connector is automatically updated with any new custom fields created within Amazon.com. 3

4 The data available through CloudStreams includes standard Amazon S3 business objects (such as a text file, a photo, a video, etc.), as well as any custom objects you have created in Amazon.com. For each Amazon S3 object supported, CloudStreams provides read, update and upsert capabilities. For connectivity between CloudStreams and Amazon.com, the Amazon S3 Connector uses the REST interface, eliminating the need for any subsequent configuration within Amazon.com. After installation, you can access and manipulate (create, list and retrieve) Amazon.com data without any additional programming. Requests are authorized using an access control list associated with each bucket and object. Connector Highlights Provides connectivity between webmethods CloudStreams and Amazon.com. Provides write, read and delete access to the objects containing from 1 byte to 5 terabytes of data each of Amazon S3. Each object is stored in a bucket and retrieved via a unique, developer-assigned key. Uses the Amazon S3 REST APIs. No additional configuration within Amazon S3 required for connectivity. Supports standard Amazon S3 objects (such as a text file, a photo, a video, etc.). Supports custom objects created in Amazon S3. Provides read, update and upsert capabilities available for Amazon S3 object types. The Connector comes populated with all the Amazon S3 data fields for each Amazon S3 object.
