3 Section 1- Getting Started 1. System Requirements: Computer OS Version: compatible with Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 & Windows 10 IBM-compatible PC with Intel processor speed of 1 GHz 512 MB RAM 40 GB hard drive 1 free USB port 2. Installation: Prior to installing the AccuPoint Advanced HC Data Manager software, any programs in use should be closed to ensure the system files will be properly updated 1. Insert the AccuPoint Advanced HC Data Manager CD/ Flashdrive in the CD drive/usb slot 2. Computer with auto-play enabled will automatically start the installation. Computers without auto-play require the following: a. Click Start and select Run b. In the Run dialog box, select Browse c. Select the drive letter for the CD drive d. Select the autorun.exe program 3. When the installation program starts, follow the instructions on the screen. Section 2- Using AccuPoint Advanced Heathcare (HC) Data Manager 1. HC Data Manager 3.4 Overview: a. Home Tab Reader Allows user to Sync Data, Clear Reader or upgrade firmware (when applicable). Summary Provides snap-shot summary of all data collected, in numerical and pie-chart format. About Displays HC Data Manager Version number and hyperlink to Neogen s website. b. Reports Tab Manage Allows user to manage custom filters. Details Raw data report, can also include summary of data, and settings allows user to control the order of the columns and whether they are hidden or visible. Summary Provides user with a summary of the data, with option for pie chart that can be sorted by overall score, by area, by room number, or by housekeeper. Trends Provides user with trend of the data that can be sorted (area, room number, housekeeper), by average RLU by Month, Average RLU by Month with Line Charts or RLU Over Time with Line Charts. High Touch Provides user to look at data by high touch surfaces with pass/fail results, actual RLU results, or summary of high touch surface number of total tests, number passed, and pass percentage. Headers Allows user to customize report header with logo and report information such as report title and data time frame. c. Test Plan Manager Tab File Allows user to manage data file using Open, Save, Save As, New, Archive & Merge commands.

4 Managers Allows user to set up test plan, manage readers and add users. 2. Test Plan Manager window will appear Report Allows user the ability to export (Excel, PDF, or Word) or to print test plan checklist. Default Thresholds Allows user to set Fail and Marginal thresholds and apply these changes to the Test Plan and/or Reader. NOTE: This will change the thresholds for the entire Test Plan. RFID Allows user to Program, Upload or Clear RFID tags. d. Settings Tab 3. Add in a new area by double clicking on Area 1 4. Type in the new area name and continue on each line until all areas have been entered Columns Allows user to rename Area, Group, Site and User columns. Auto Save After Allows user to auto save data file with 3 options: never, after loading data, or whenever a change is made. Reader Format Allows user to set 24-hour time or EU date format. 5. Add in room numbers for each area by double clicking in the empty row beneath the room # section 6. Type in the new room numbers for each selected area until all room numbers have been entered NOTE: Settings will be applied when reader is connected. Delete Records from reader Allows user to auto delete the data after uploading. 2. Create & Sync Test Plans: 7. Create a room type by clicking on Types 8. Add in all Room Types in the Room Type Manager screen then click OK 1. From the Test Plan Manager tab, click on Test Plan.

5 9. Tag each room number with a room type by clicking in the empty section beneath the type column across from the room number. Click the drop down arrow and select the correct room type for each room number. 10. Add in new test sites by double clicking in the empty row beneath the site section 11. Type in the name of the new test site. A description of the test site can also be added under the Description column 12. Match each test site with the room type each site should be sampled in by checking the box across from the test site and below the correct room type column 13. Sync test plan to reader by clicking sync to reader 1. Power on and connect the HC reader to the USB communication cable and open data file. 2. From the Test Plan Manager tab, select Program RFID Tags. This will put the reader in RFID mode. You can disconnect the USB cable when programming tags. 3. Any room that does not have a RFID tag assigned will be presented with yellow? icon 4. Program an RFID tag by holding an RFID tag over the icon located on the back of the reader. The reader icon on the front will change from a yellow? to green check mark when the RFID tag has been successfully assigned to the room 5. Hang the RFID tag on the outside of the designated room 6. Repeat the process until all RFID tags are assigned. 7. Select the Stop icon at the bottom left of the display. This will exit RFID mode. 8. Reconnect the USB cable. 9. Using the HC Data Manager, select Upload RFID Map. This will transfer the tag assignments that are currently only on the reader to the Data Manager software. An antenna icon will be displayed near any room that has an RFID tag assignment. 4. Managing Housekeepers: NOTE: If thresholds needs to be edited for specific test sites this should be done here. To edit thresholds for individual sites double click in the fail column across from the test site and enter in the new threshold value. Repeat for marginal threshold value 3. Programming RFID Tags: NOTE: This section is only for customers who have purchased the RFID reader. Contact Neogen for RFID purchasing options or questions Once a test plan is created and synced to the reader, RFID tags can be programmed that will be assigned to a specific area and room number combination. RFID tags are placed outside each room and when scanned by the HC reader, the correct Area and Room # information is automatically displayed on the reader screen. 1. Power on and connect the HC reader to the USB communication cable and open data file. 2. From the Test Plan Manager tab, click on Housekeeper. 3. The Housekeeper Manager window will appear:

6 4. Click on Add, and a Housekeeper Manager window appears: 5. Enter the name of the Housekeeper, click OK. 6. Repeat the process until all names have been entered 7. Names can be removed or renamed once they are on the list. 8. To print and review entire list of housekeepers click Print 2. Readers can be re-named by clicking in the name column and typing in the new reader name. NOTE: this function can be utilized when running reports 3. Readers can be deleted when they are no longer in use or have been replaced NOTE: Deleting the reader will only clear the reader off the reader manager list, it will not delete data that has been uploaded from that reader 6. Syncing Data from Reader to Data Manager: Syncing requires that the HC reader be powered on and connected via USB communication cable. a. Automatic 1. A pop-up will appear with a notification that new results are located on the reader 2. Upload test results by clicking Upload 9. Sync the changes by clicking on Sync to reader. 5. Managing HC Readers: 1. Review list of current readers by clicking on the reader icon, the Reader Manager screen will appear: 3. A notification will appear once reader is finished uploading test results b. Manual 1. Select Sync Reader from the Reader ribbon section. 2. This will first sync all data from the reader, then sync the current test plan and finally the housekeepers.

7 7. Filtering Data All data that is synced from the reader to the HC Data Manager software can be filtered by using preset filters or by creating custom filters. The various preset filters are located in our filter manager, to the left of the main window. b. Selecting multiple filters Multiple filters can be selected at the same time. To expand filters click on the + box next to each header. A drop down of all the possible filters will appear. To select filters, check the box next to each filter. a. Create Custom reports Custom filters can be created for each of our Date Collected, Area, Room#, Site, Date Transferred, Reading, Fail, Marginal, Housekeeper, and comment fields. The following is an example of how to run our most requested filters, for more please call a Neogen Representative: To create custom data collected report: 1. Click on Custom beneath date collected header 2. Select Between from the drop down Is section 3. Select the date frame, starting with the furthest date back on the top and the closest date back from the bottom 4. Name the custom filter using time frame as the title and click OK For example, March and Bedrail can be selected for an easy breakdown of data. To create custom Comment report: 1. Click on custom beneath comment header on filter manager 2. Is should be selected from the drop down options 3. Type the comment text in the blank box exactly as in the data Comment column 4. Type in the name for the custom comment and click OK

8 8. Generating Reports Exporting reports can be done from any view where a blue disk icon is visible. Click on the down arrow to present the export options. NOTE: Be sure to have the appropriate software program installed to read the exported file. 9. Exporting Reports to Word, Excel, PDF All data that is synced from the reader to the HC Data Manager can be filtered. The various filters are located on the left side of the main window. To expand filters, click on the + box next to each header. A drop down of all possible filters will appear. To select filters, check the box next to each filter. 9 10. Backing Up Data Files: Data file should be saved on a Network drive so the file is protected fromindividual PC issues. If you are unsure which Network drive to use please contact your IT department. To save data file to network: 1. Click on the Save As icon from the Home tab: 2. Locate Network drive and save under correct file folder. NOTE: Once saved the desktop icon will automatically pull data file from the Network. Verify the correct file is open before uploading test results by checking the path at the top: Section 3- Firmware Upgrader The AccuPoint Advanced HC Data Manager has the ability to update any HC reader to the latest firmware version. The current firmware version is displayed at powering up, in the form V 3.1.x. When the reader is powered on and connected via USB, the Data Manager will check for a new firmware version. If a new version is available, the Upgrade Reader icon will be displayed in green. To upgrade the firmware, following these steps with the reader powered on, connected to USB and at the main screen. 1. Click on the Upgrade Reader icon. 2. A dialog box will appear that states Do you want to upgrade your reader? 3. Select Yes. Be sure all data is synced prior to this process. 4. Step 1 leave the reader connected to the computer via the USB cable. Press and hold the red power button on the AccuPoint reader until it turns off. 5. Step 2 First push up on the toggle button, then, while continuing to hold the toggle button in the Up position, press and hold the power button for a few seconds. 6. This will start the firmware upgrade process and a progress bar will show the status. 7. When the reader is upgraded, a Factory Reset will be performed and the reader will power up with the new firmware version displayed. 8. Sync the Test Plan to the reader. This will restore the test plan & housekeepers. Appendix CUSTOMER LICENSE AGREEMENT THE PROGRAM FURNISHED HEREWITH IS LICENSED TO A LICENS- EE FOR THEIR USE ONLY ON THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET FORTH BELOW BY NEOGEN CORPORATION (LICENSOR). IN- STALLING THIS SOFTWARE PACKAGE INDICATES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. 1.0 DEFINITIONS 1.1 Licensed Program shall mean any Object Code supplied by LICENSOR under this LICENSE. 1.2 Use shall mean the copying of any portion of Licensed Program from a storage unit or media into a machine, for processing of the machine instructions or statements contained in such material. 2.0 LICENSE GRANT 2.1 LICENSEE is granted a non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the Licensed Program supplied by LICENSOR. LICENSEE may make copies of the Licensed Program as necessary for archive, testing, or backup purposes only. 3.0 TERM 3.1 This LICENSE shall be effective from the date of receipt of the LICENSED PROGRAM until it is terminated in accordance with Article PROPRIETARY RIGHTS AND PROTECTION 4.1 LICENSEE acknowledges and understands that nothing contained in this License shall be construed as conveying title in Licensed Program to the LICENSEE. 4.2 LICENSEE agrees to hold the Licensed Program in confidence and shall not disclose the Licensed Program, or part thereof, without the prior written approval of LICENSOR, except to its

10 employees to whom disclosure is necessary for Use. Licensee agrees not to disassemble, decompile, or cross-compile Licensed Program. 4.3 Where any of LICENSOR S rights to the Licensed Program, or part thereof, arise under an agreement with a third party supplier, such supplier shall have the benefit of LICENSOR S rights hereunder. 4.4 LICENSEE acknowledges that the Licensed Program may contain certain encryptions, or other devises which may prevent or detect unauthorized Use of the Licensed Program. Temporary Use on backup equipment may require assistance from Licensor. 5.0 NOTICES AND LEGENDS 5.1 LICENSEE agrees to reproduce and include any copyright notices, trademarks, or other legends or credits included in the Licensed Program, or requested in writing by LICENSOR, in and on every copy made by LICENSEE of Licensed Program, or part thereof. The existence of any copyright notice not be construed as an admission or presumption of publication of the Licensed Program. 6.0 WARRANTY 6.1 LICENSOR warrants that for ninety (90) days from the date the Licensed Program is received, the Licensed Program supplied by LICENSOR shall perform in accordance with the standards set forth in the user manual related to the Licensed Program, if any, provided that the attached Software Registration Form has been returned to LICENSOR. 6.2 The above warranty does not extend and shall not apply to licensed Program to the extent that any breach of warranty is caused by the Licensed Program being: (a) Not used in accordance with the user manual supplied hereunder; (b) Used in combination with any program material not licensed herein; (c) Modified by LICENSEE; or (d) Used with equipment other than the Designated Equipment. 6.3 LICENSOR MAKES NO WARRANTIES THAT ERRORS HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY ELIMINATED FROM THE LICENSED PRO- GRAM OR THAT USE OF ANY LICENSED PROGRAM WILL NOT INFRINGE UPON ANY PATENT, COPYRIGHT, OR TRADEMARK. LI- CENSOR MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR MERCHANTABILITY WITH RESPECT TO THE LI- CENSED PROGRAM. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY GIVES LICENSEE SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND LICENSEE MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE OR FROM COUNTRY TO COUNTRY. 7.0 TERMINATION 7.1 IF LICENSEE fails to comply with any term or condition of this License, LICENSOR may notify LICENSEE in writing of such failure. If LICENSEE fails to cure such failure within thirty (30) days of such written notice, this License be terminated. 7.2 LICENSEE may terminate this License at will on thirty (30) days prior written notice to LICENSOR. Within ten (10) days after termination, LICENSEE shall certify in writing to LICENSOR that all copies, in whole or in part, in any form, of the Licensed Program have been destroyed or returned to LICENSOR. 7.3 LICENSOR shall have the right to terminate this License of LICENSEE S normal Business operations are disrupted for more than thirty (30) days, by reason of insolvency, bankruptcy, or receivership. 8.0 LIMITATION OF LIABILITY 8.1 The total liability of LICENSOR or its suppliers for any claim or damage arising out of the Use of Licensed Program or in connection with any breach of this License shall be limited to direct damages and shall not exceed the License fees which have been paid by LICENSEE to LICENSOR for use of the Licensed Program which is the subject of such claim or damage. 8.2 IN NO EVENT SHALL LICENSOR OR ITS SUPPLIERS BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT, PUNITIVE OR CON- SEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF ANY LI- CENSED PROGRAM OR IN CONNECTION WITH ANY BREACH OF THIS LICENSE, EVEN IF LICENSOR IS ADVISED IN ADVANCE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. 9.0 MISCELLANEOUS 9.1 Limitation of Action - No Action arising out of this License, regardless of form, may be brought by either party against the other more than two (2) years after the cause of action has accrued. 9.2 Enforceability - Should any provision of this License be held by a court of law or equity to be illegal, invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions of the remaining provisions of the License shall not be affected or impaired thereby. 9.3 Waiver - The failure of any party to enforce any term or condition of this License shall not constitute a waiver of that party s right to enforce any term or condition of this License, unless waived in writing. 9.4 Governing Law - This License shall be interpreted and governed by the law of The State of Michigan. 9.5 Notices - All notices shall be in writing and sent by registered or certified mail, return receipt requested. The date notice is received shall be its effective date.
