3 PRECAUTION 1) Read these instructions. 2) Keep these instructions. 3) Heed all warnings. 4) Follow all instructions. 5) Do not use this apparatus near water. 6) Clean only with dry cloth. PRECAUTION. 7) Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. 8) Do not use near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat. 9) Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding-type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet. 10) Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles and the points where they exit from the apparatus. 11) Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer. PRECAUTION THIS PRODUCT HAS MULTIPLE-RATED VOLTAGES. ADJUST POWER INPUT SELECTOR SWITCH PROPERLY ON REAR OF UNIT BEFORE CONNECTING TO THE POWER SUPPLY. IMPORTANT The only way to disconnect power completely is to unplug the power cord. Make sure at least one end of the power cord is within easy reach so that you can unplug the computer when you need to 12) Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-overs. 13) Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time. 14) Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. 4 ENVIRONMENT ENVIRONMENT CTMS Environment 1. CTMS S/W The Central Management Software (CTMS) can connect to various DVR servers through network. Moreover, it is also possible to change the DVR setting, Search and PTZ control. 2. System Requirement. CPU: Pentium IV 3.0GHz or higher RAM: 1GB or higher RESOLUTION: 32 Bit True Color / 1280*1024 NIC: 10/100M LAN Card SOUND: 16Bit Sound Card HDD Space: 80MB Free Space CTMS Lock MONITOR: 1280 * 1024 resolution-supporting monitor ACCERATION: Direct X 8.1 & DAO (Data Access Objects 3.5) O/S: Windows 2000, Windows XP As this is a security surveillance system, the chosen PC should be dedicated to this function. Otherwise, CMS may have conflicts with other Windows applications running concurrently. ENVIRONMENT 4 English

5 INSTALLATION Lock Installation It is the Key Lock to prevent illegal replication. Make sure to connect the LOCK key to the USB port of the PC before executing the program. If it is not connected, CTMS cannot be run normally. In case the Lock Key is not included in the package upon purchase, contact the place of purchase. If it is damaged or lost during the use, you should buy it again. 5. Click the NEXT. 1. Connect the Lock key to the USB port of PC. INSTALLATION Do not pull out the Lock Key while CTMS runs. The CTMS program checks if the Lock Key is plugged in continuously. 6. Click the NEXT. 7. Click the FINISH. If the installation is completed, the CTMS icon will be created on the desktop. INSTALLATION CTMS Installation 1. Insert the CTMS Program CD into the CD- ROM drive of the computer 2. Install the DirectX 8.1 or above. 3. Install the DAO (Data Access Objects 3.5). The above procedure only needs when the above programs are not installed on the computer and reboot the system. 4. Double-click the Setup.exe. Installation will start and the below window will be displayed. 5 English

6 RESOLUTION SETTING SINGLE MONITOR 5. Set the Color Quality as Highest (32bit). CTMS requires the resolution 1280*1024. RESOLUTION SETTING Set the proper resolution before running CTMS. 1. Click right mouse button on the desktop window. The below popup menu will displayed. 2. Click the Properties. Display Properties window will be displayed. 6. Click the Apply. The resolution will be changed. RESOLUTION SETTING 7. Click the OK. Display Properties window will disappear. 3. Click the Settings tab. Settings window will be displayed. 4. Set the Screen Resolution as 1280* English

7 RESOLUTION SETTING DUAL MONITOR 6. Set the Color Quality as Highest (32bit). CTMS requires the resolution 1280*1024. Set the proper resolution before running CTMS. RESOLUTION SETTING VGA card supporting dual monitors is to be installed on CTMS to use two monitors. The below instruction is based on ATI VGA card. So the setting way could be different from the brands. But the general setting way is similar. For NVIDIA Dual VGA card use, please set the nview Display Mode as Dual View at the following Display Properties Settings Advanced. 1. Install two monitors on CTMS. 2. Click right mouse button on the desktop window. The below popup menu will displayed. 7. Click the 2 monitor. Setting window of secondary monitor will be displayed. RESOLUTION SETTING 8. Check the below. Secondary monitor will be available to use. 3. Click the Properties. Display Properties window will be displayed. 4. Click the Settings tab. Settings window will be displayed. If the first and secondary monitor is arranged in a row, move the cursor to the right on the first monitor and then the cursor is moved on the secondary monitor. 9. Check the Screen Resolution and Color Quality. Screen Resolution 1280 * 1024 Color Quality Highest (32bit) 5. Set the Screen Resolution as 1280* When Dual monitors are used, CTMS supports two different resolutions setting on the first and secondary monitor. (First 1280*1024, Secondary- 1024*768). And then Select the resolution as 1024*768 on CTMS Environment Setup View Monitor Setting 7 English

8 RESOLUTION SETTING 10. Click the Apply. The resolution will be changed. 15. Input the P/W and Press the OK. The DVR window will be displayed. RESOLUTION SETTING 11. Click the OK. Display Properties window will disappear. 12. Run the CTMS. The P/W input window will be displayed. 16. Click the View. The View window will be displayed. RESOLUTION SETTING 13. Input the P/W and Press the OK. CTMS will be displayed. 17. Click the Monitor Setting. The Monitor Layout window will be displayed. Display Properties Set the display resolution. The default P/W is Tick the two 1280*1024 and Press the OK. 14. Click the Environment Setup. The P/W input window will be displayed. 19. Press the OK. CTMS will restart. 8 English

9 1024*768 SETTING The below instructions is for the computer that only supports 1024*768 resolution. At this resolution, D/O control on the display menu is not available. 4. Click the Monitor Setting. The Monitor Layout window will be displayed. CTMS requires the minimum resolution of 1280* *768 SETTING 1. Click the Environment Setup. The P/W input window will be displayed. 2. Input the P/W and Press the OK. The DVR window will be displayed. Display Properties Set the display resolution. D/O control on the display menu is not available at 1024 X 768 resolution. 5. Tick the 1024*768 and Press the OK. 6. Press the OK. CTMS will restart. 1024*768 SETTING 3. Click the View. The View window will be displayed. 9 English

10 CONNECTION 1. Run the CTMS. The P/W input window will be displayed. 7. Input the DVR Name, IP Address, Port No and Password. CONNECTION 2. Input the P/W and Press the OK. CTMS will be displayed. The default P/W is 0. Group Name Check if the group name is selected correctly. If the group name is wrong, CTMS can t connect to DVR. (NX Linux type DVR, EMXP Windows type DVR) Port Default port of Linux type DVR is Default Port of Windows type DVR is 0, Auto Connect automatically when DVR is disconnected. CONNECTION 3. Click the Environment Setup. The P/W input window will be displayed. Find Show all DVR list that is connected into the same local network like LAN. Update Update the changed network setting value. 8. Click the Add. 4. Input the P/W and Press the OK. The DVR window will be displayed. 9. Click the OK. The added DVR will be shown into the list. 10 English

11 CONNECTION 10. Click the Close. Return to live mode and Show the added DVR list. Clear Single Camera To remove a camera from the display, right click the camera on the viewing window and then click Clear Single Camera. Clear All Camera To remove a camera from the display, right click the camera on the viewing window and then click Clear All Camera. CONNECTION 11. Select the DVR name and Click the right mouse button. 12. Click the Connect The live image will be displayed. The maximum number of cameras that can be displayed is 49. If you try to display more than 49 cameras, the software will display them, overwriting existing cameras. CONNECTION 13. Drag & Drop the DVR Name into the viewing window. Show Live Image into the display window. DVR Viewing Drag the server icon and drop it into one of the channel viewing windows. All the cameras connected to the site will load and CTMS automatically will start streaming live video from the selected server. Individual Camera Viewing If you do not want to view all cameras connected to a server, just drag and drop an individual camera into a viewing window. 11 English

12 LOG IN / OUT The default password for CTMS application is 0. You should change the password immediately after logging in to the software for the first time. Follow the instructions below to change the CTMS application login password. 3. Input the P/W and Press the OK. Log Out 1. Click the Log Out. The P/W input window will be displayed. Exit CTMS 1. Click the CTMS Exit. The P/W input window will be displayed. LOG IN / OUT 2. Input the P/W and Press the OK. 2. Input the P/W and Press the OK. CTMS will close. LOG IN / OUT Log In 1. Click the Log In. The P/W input window will be displayed. 2. Select the User. 12 English

14 DISPLAY MENU Main Menu Sub Menu DISPLAY MENU DISPLAY MODE Go to the display mode. PTZ MODE Go to the PTZ mode. Refer to the PTZ control. SEARCH MODE Go to the search mode. DVR Server Show the name of DVR. The icon to the left of the server name indicates the following: Server icon with a grey X DVR is not connected. Server icon with a black D DVR is connected. Refer to the connection. CAMERA Show the available cameras at the remote site. The icon to the left of the camera name indicates the following: Camera icon with a grey C Camera is not connected. Camera icon with a black C Camera is connected. SCREEN CAPTURE Save the live image as JPG, BMP and AVI. Refer to the live capture. REMOTE BACKUP Copy the recorded data from DVR. Refer to the remote backup. DVR SETUP MODE Go to the setup mode of DVR. ENVIRIONMENT SETUP MODE (CTMS) Go to the CTMS setup mode. D/O CONTROL Operates the relays at the selected DVR. Select a camera and then click a D/O button to turn on or off the device, such as a light or alarm, that is connected to the relay output. A yellow button indicates the relay is active, and a white button indicates the relay is inactive. D/O of the selected DVR indicates when more than 2 DVRs are displayed on the viewing window. The selected DVR is distinguished in yellow rectangle on the viewing window. PLAYBACK CONTROL Select the date and time of recorded video to play back. Go to the first recorded image Play forward Move to previous frame Move to next frame Play backward Go to the last recorded image Stop CAMERA DIVISION LAYOUT (1X1, 2X2, 3X3, 4X4, 5X5, 6X6, 7X7, Full) A maximum of 49 cameras can be displayed one at a time or in groups of 4, 9, 16, or 25, 49 cameras. Full Removes all buttons and status indicators from display. Click the right mouse button on the viewing window and select the Normal Mode return to the previous screen display. DISPLAY MENU MAP EDIT / VIEW Help the user to understand the DVR and camera location using a map. Drag and drop the DVR or camera on map to the viewing window. It will be displayed Refer to the map edit and map view. EVENT SEARCH / DVR LOG Go to the event search mode. Refer to the event log search. LOG IN / OUT / EXIT Change to other user mode and Exit CTMS. Refer to the log in / out. Click the right mouse button anywhere on a camera scene and sub menu will show up. AUTO LAYOUT ROTATION Rotate the camera layout with auto preset duration time and schedule. Refer to the auto roation. SHOW / HIDE EVENT LIST Show / Hide the event information & image. Refer to the event pop. VOLUME CONTROL Adjust the volume level. 14 English

15 DISPLAY MENU SAVE / DELETE A CAMERA LAYOUT Save / Delete a camera layout. Refer to the layout setting. DATE / TIME Show the current time of CTMS. 1X1 Layout Show the viewing layout as 1X1 layout. Reset Event Marker- Clear all the red event marker. DISPLAY MENU CHANNEL TITLE Depending on the environment setup, the channel title displays the DVR name, camera name, video mode (Live/Search), record mode and zoom ratio. Available modes include the following: Refer to the show option of the View menu, Environment Setup. PREVIOUS / NEXT LAYOUT Show the previous / next layout. Channel Submenu DISPLAY MENU Live Mode Change to the live mode. Search Mode Change to the Search mode. Show Calendar Show the calendar at the search mode. Live Audio Turn on/off the audio. MIC->Server Speaker Communicate to between CTMS and DVR. Again Request live Video Request the transmission when the speed is not good. Start MPEG-4 Streaming Change to 1CH realtime display mode. Clear Single Camera Clear the selected single camera from the viewing window. Clear All Camera Clear all cameras from the viewing window. Full Screen Mode Show the viewing screen without GUI. 15 English

17 SEARCH MENU Main Menu Sub Menu SEARCH MENU DISPLAY MODE Go to the display mode. PTZ MODE Go to the PTZ mode. Refer to the PTZ control. SEARCH MODE Go to the search mode. SELECTED DVR Show the selected DVR name. CALENDAR Show the date with a green circle that video was recorded on that day. The day selected is marked with a red circle. SAVE IMAGE Save the recorded image as JPG, BMP. Refer to the JPG, BMP save, still image save. PRINT IMAGE Print the selected image. Refer to the print the image, still image save. PRINT PREVIEW Preview the selected image to be printed. Refer to the print preview, still image save. ENVIRIONMENT SETUP MODE (CTMS) Go to the CTMS setup mode. EVENT SEARCH / DVR LOG Go to the event search mode. Refer to the event log search. D/O CONTROL Operate the relays at the selected DVR. 18 SETUP MENU DVR Menu View Menu SETUP MENU DVR Name Enter the DVR name to show in the display mode. Group Name Show the registered DVR type. (O/S type) Check if the group name is selected correctly. If the group name is wrong, CTMS can t connect to DVR. (NX Linux type, PC/EMXP Windows type) Auto Connect automatically when DVR is disconnected. Refer to the check interval of View menu. IP Address Enter the IP Address of DVR. Port Enter the port no. for communication to DVR. Default port of Linux type DVR is Default Port of Windows type DVR is 0. Duration Layout Rotate the camera layout with the auto preset duration time. Auto Preset Duration Set the duration layout time. Schedule Layout Rotate the camera layout with the schedule If Schedule Layout is selected, Schedule will be available. Auto Connection Check Check to connect to DVR automatically when the connection is disconnected. Check Interval Set the interval time for auto connection. Search Timer Interval Set the data requesting time on DVR. (0.001 sec ~ 1 sec) SETUP MENU Password Enter the administrator password of the DVR. Find Show all DVR list that is connected into the same local network like LAN. Add Register the DVR to CTMS connection list. Update Update the changed network setting value of DVR. Delete Delete the selected DVR from CTMS connection list. Live Image Resolution Set the live image resolution for transmission. Origin Recorded resolution at DVR. Medium 320 X 240. Small 160 X 120. Live Image Quality Set the live image quality for transmission. Live Image Resolution, Live Image Quality only works with NX5009, 5016, not NX5004, 6016, MP series and MEX series. 18 English

19 SETUP MENU PDNS IP Address Enter IP address of PDNS server. 61,109,175,2 is the default PDNS server that is provided with DVR and CTMS. Log Menu Show Option Show / Hide the below information on the viewing window of CTMS. SETUP MENU Monitor Setting Display Properties Set the resolution to 1280 X Current Log Path Set the directory to save the log data. Free disk space of logging drive Show the free capacity of the drive. Disk space of event recording with safety Set the HDD capacity the event data. SETUP MENU Event Preservation Duration Set the keeping time for the event data. Displaying time of event image Set the displaying time of event image. Display when check the event popup menu Event List Show / Hide the event information Beep Beep On / Off when event is triggered. Beep Sound File Set the beep sound file. Refer to the monitor setting when the Max. resolution is 1024 X 768. D/O control on display menu is not available at 1024 X 768 resolution. FPS Control Adjust the speed according to the CPU performance of the CTMS. Event Notification Disable Show the event image and list. Fixed - Show the event image and list and Mark the camera in red on the viewing window when event is triggered. Sequential Show the event image and list and Mark the camera in red sequentially on the viewing window when event is triggered. DVR Show the selected layout of the DVR when event is triggered. It is not available with some DVR models. Refer to the Event popup for more information of Event Notification. 19 English

20 SETUP MENU ETC Menu SETUP MENU User ID Select the user. (Administrator, Search, Display) Old Password Enter the existing password. New Password Enter the new password. Confirm Enter the new password again. Save Save the changed password. Authority Set the authority for the selected user. SETUP MENU Save CTMS Configuration Save the CTMS configuration file. Load CTMS Configuration Load the CTMS configuration file. 20 English

21 PASSWORD Password Change 1. Click the Environment Setup. The P/W input window will be displayed. 8. Click the Save. 9. Press the OK. PASSWORD 2. Input the P/W and Press the OK. The DVR window will be displayed. Authority Change Follow the above instructions no. 1 to Click the Authority. The Authority window will be displayed. PASSWORD 3. Click the Etc. The Etc window will be displayed. 11. Select the user. 12. Select the functions for the selected user. 4. Select the User ID. 13. Press the OK. 5. Input the old P/W. 6. Input the new P/W. 7. 22 CONFIGURATION Save Configuration 1. Click the Environment Setup. The P/W input window will be displayed. 6. Input the file name and Press the Save. 7. Press the OK. CONFIGURATION 2. Input the P/W and Press the OK. The DVR window will be displayed. Load Configuration Follow the above instruction 1 to Click the Save CTMS Configuration. Window explorer will be displayed. CONFIGURATION 3. Click the Etc. The Etc window will be displayed. 5. Select the file name and Press the Open. 6. Press the OK. CTMS will shut down. 4. Click the Save CTMS Configuration. Window explorer will be displayed. 5. Select the directory. 22 English

23 NETWORK SPEED 1. Click the Environment Setup. The P/W input window will be displayed. 6. Click the FPS Control. The FPS Control window will be displayed. 7. Adjust the speed according to the CPU performance of the CTMS. NETWORK SPEED 2. Input the P/W and Press the OK. The DVR window will be displayed. NETWORK SPEED 3. Click the View. The View window will be displayed. 4. Select the Live Image Resolution. 5. Adjust the Live Image Quality. Live Image Resolution, Live Image Quality only works with NX5009, 5016, not NX5004, 6016, MP series and MEX series. 23 English

24 LAYOUT SETTING Save Layout Delete Layout 1. Drag & Drop the DVR to the viewing window. The selected DVR will be displayed. 1. Select the layout. The selected layout will be displayed. LAYOUT SETTING 2. Select the camera layout. The viewing window layout will be changed. 3. Click the Save Layout The Save Layout window will be displayed. 2. Click the Delete Layout The Delete Layout window will be displayed. 3. Click the OK. The layout name will be deleted. LAYOUT SETTING 4. Enter the layout name and Click the OK. The layout name will be displayed. 24 English

25 AUTO ROTATION Auto Layout Layout setting should be done to use the Auto Layout. Refer to the Layout Setting. 6. Click the Close. Live mode will be displayed. 1. Click the Environment Setup. The P/W input window will be displayed. AUTO ROTATION 2. Input the P/W and Press the OK. The DVR window will be displayed. 7. Click the Auto. The camera layout will be rotated with the auto preset duration time. FRONT DOOR HALL AUTO ROTATION 3. Click the View. The View window will be displayed. Schedule Layout Layout setting should be done to use the Schedule Layout. Refer to the Layout Setting. Follow the above instructions 1 to Select the Schedule Layout The Schedule icon will be available. 5. Click the Schedule. The Schedule window will be displayed. 4. Select the Duration Layout 5. 26 AUTO ROTATION 6. Select the several time zones holding the CTRL key. FRONT DOOR HALL AUTO ROTATION 7. Select the layout. The selected layout will be applied to the schedule. AUTO ROTATION 8. Click the OK. The View window will be displayed. 9. Click the Close. Live mode will be displayed. 10. Click the Auto. The camera layout will be rotated with the schedule. 26 English

27 MAP EDIT 1. Click the Map Edit. The P/W input window will be displayed. 6. Select the DVR. The camera name will be listed. 2. Input the P/W and Press the OK.
