Engine with Built-in Decoder b. Separate Engine & Decoder The S1000 is a Multipurpose Scan Engine for Hand Scanners and Hand Held Terminals with 100 Scans per second. The Engine is not only small but also power packed for Price Conscious Scanner Manufacturers; those require a low cost engine for Entry level Laser Scanning Engine. The S2000 is a Modular Scan Engine for where the Engine is separate from the Decoder and can offer the manufacturer to develop their own Decoder depending on their requirement. PoS Tektronics also offers service in providing by jointly developing decoder for its scan engines depending on customer requirement. Barcode Scanners PoS Tektronics manufacture s barcode scanners for Entry Level Segment of the Market. Currently the barcode scanners offered are based on the S2000 Scan Engine with variable Decoding capabilities. For OEM Customers, PoS Tektronics have developed multiple Shell Options.
