2 Milesight, a leading designer and manufacturer of IP communication products and IP video surveillance products, is pleased to announce the release of the new firmware version xx of the Milesight NVR. This updated release includes the improvements and bug fixes. Note: The second number stands for the main version number, while the last two number means the sub version number. Take for an example, it means the NVR s main version is 7 and it s sub version is 5. You can use monitor to upgrade your NVR, or you can upgrade it via browser. Here is the specific steps for upgrading your NVR through monitor.

3 1. Upgrade via Monitor: Step1: Enter upgrade menu by clicking Main Menu -> System Settings -> Upgrade Step2: Search for device you downloaded in your USB, and select the.bin file Step3: Click [Upgrade] button to confirm the upgrade

4 Note: The system will auto reboot after confirming upgrade. 2. Upgrade via Web Page: Step1: Settings -> System -> Device Maintenance Step2: Click Browse and find the position where you downloaded Note: Remember to check the model, use the corresponding firmware for your model Step3: After choosing the corresponding firmware, click Upgrade button to confirm

Changes Important Optimization (1) Add Due Time setting for recording, you can decide to keep the recording videos of each channel for how many days; (2) Add camera management privileges for different users. For monitor, it supports

6 playback privilege settings. For web page, it supports both playback and live view privilege settings; (3) Add H.265 codec algorithm for 4K NVR, which supports displaying 9 channels 720P in live view; (4) Add switch of sub stream in camera management, you can choose to turn on or turn off sub stream; (5) Add Danish and Italian in system language;

Bug Fixes (1) Optimize P2P module, and speed up the connection; (2) Update the MAC plugin; (3) Fix the bug that pre record could not be played correctly; (4) Fix the bug that if the channel has been deleted before playback, the "no resource" notice could not show up; (5) Fix the bug that when exporting video in playback module, the time of the exported video is not accurate; (6) Fix the bug that the IP address could not be changed if the camera is added via Milesight protocol; (7) Optimize the compatibility between NVR and Speed Dome, and optimize the functions of motion detection switch, parameters obtaining and motion detection snapshot; (8) Support OSD function when adding camera via RTSP; (9) Update PTZ interface, delete "auto focus after zoom" option in monitor and web page. Since the new generation motorized zoom lenses will focus automatically after zoom, and the live view on NVR will synchronize with it at the same time; (10) Fix the problem that when using daylight-saving time, the time length of the video that exported from playback module is inaccurate; (11) Make it compatible with Speed Dome OSD obtaining and settings; (12) Fix the problem that after restoring VIVOTEK camera, the bit rate returns to 40 M, the bandwidth reaches the limitation, which make it impossible to add other cameras again;

8 (13) Change the default interval of carousel to 5 seconds on monitor; (14) Fix the problem that when opening the NVR web page on IE 8 and IE 9, you can not adjust the video parameters; (15) Fix the problem that the switch of record symbol in live view is too slow ; (16) Fix the problem that when opening the camera management web page on IE 8 and IE 9, and clicking add camera directly without any information, it will stuck on the waiting web page;
