To create systems which we believe are the finest available, we design every aspect of our products here in the UK. As an example, most small audio systems use amplifier modules for cost and ease of construction, however for R4i we developed our own amplifier system using discrete component technology. This technique is generally only found in specialist Hi-Fi components, but to obtain the performance we desired we knew that this was our only choice. With our skill in loudspeaker design and meticulous optimisation, voices and music are reproduced with clarity and realism, in a soundstage that truly belies the R4i s compact dimensions. Called BackPack this stylish accessory provides hours of wire-free listening and once fitted can be left permanently attached, as the power supply that comes with R1 and MR1 also doubles as a charger. LAS For customers who have an ipod or iphone model with the new style Lightning connector we have developed a simple yet smart solution which allows these products to work perfectly with our R2i/R4i models and many other units which feature Apple s Universal ipod dock.
