3 1-1. Scope of warranty and Liabilities Please read this manual before using the device to ensure safe and proper use. Manufacturer is not liable for every performance issues caused by violating manual - is not liable for any loss of or damage on this product caused by violating terms and conditions outlined in this warranty and liability contract. - In case that user is using continuous power, manufacturer is not liable for damage, fire of dead battery caused by defective install. - This device is only ancillary device for safety driving. ecell is not responsible for any car accident Caution for safety Do not make any unauthorized changes to the device from the original condition by performing the following, but not limited to, opening, repairing, and altering the whole or part of the device. Do not use chemical cleaning products to clean the device because it may damage the device. Do not apply intentional shock and insert substance. (Be more careful that intentional shocks or insert debris or drink into the device cause malfunction.) Use only rated power. manufacturer does not guarantee the related problem by them. (This device is made in the basis of cigar jack. Please consult exports when connect power from vehicle, directly. But manufacturer does not guarantee the related problem by them.) To expose the device under sunlight directly during continuous power can make the device power off by overheat and it may not save any videos. Keep the camera lens clean and free of any obstacles within the lens viewing angle to obtain clean and precise a video during the recording. (Please do not to place other objects near the black box and windshield as they can be seen in the video through reflection form the windshield.) 3 / 30

4 1-2. Caution for safety Separate power cable if you do not use for a long time. (It can cause dead battery and a fire. Responsibility of damaged device or vehicles by that is belong to user, entirely.) Do not operate or look at the device during driving. If user need, user should park your vehicle at a safe place, first. Check the device works and the recording status after purchase. It may not be recorded under continuous shock. In case of damaged device to be caused by accident or other reason, please note that the data may not record video in black box. In case of under extreme shock by driving off-road and other things or using for long period, the device malfunction by changing location or angle may exist. This device is to use camera. In extreme case of sudden brightness change by a tunnel or extreme backlight at noon or no brightness at night, a video may not be recorded, correctly. Although the device work properly after installing first time, the device may not work properly due to a position is changed. So, please fix the device tightly, first time and don t do hard-handed position change, be careful to give a shock to the device. Please format SD card before using, first time. (*In case of a separate purchase, please format SD card before using, first time) Turn off the device before inserting or removing SD card from the device, surely. In case of removing SD card during operation, It may cause malfunction or data loss. It can delay to receive GPS and takes much time upon the whether and surrounding environment. It may make GPS reception performance degradation when using other devices with products for generation of electric waves. 4 / 30

5 1-2. Caution for safety Please do not use and input non-complied and converted AV cable to video output port. It will cause damage to the device. The last video may be not saved due to the nature of the device in temperature environment out of range.(range : -20 C to 80 C) (The manufacturer guarantee Wi-Fi performance in temperature environment ranging from 0 C to 60 C.) Please do not repair and cut Cigar Jack cable. It will cause damage to the device or vehicle. (User is liable for device malfunction or defect due to this.) Please do not have heavily tinted windshield to interrupt recording of video (Brightness and high definition depend on degree of tinted windshield.) Please do not press a button, heavily. It will cause damage to the device. Please do not touch power plug by wet hands when connect or disconnect the power cable. (It can be the reason of system defect as well as potential fire) Please keep the device out of the reach of children or your pets. (Children or your pets were left critically wounded.) The manufacturer have all rights of hardware and software and data. Illegal copy of content and processing, sharing file can cause criminal and civil suits and be punishable by intellectual property law. This product may be turned off or restarted, if input voltage is lower than 7V. 5 / 30

6 1-3. Caution for memory Please use original SD card from manufacturer. (If you use other SD card, it may cause malfunction or data loss.) Please do not open and repair SD card. It may cause malfunction and there is no service about that. SD card is consumables, please replace new SD card after long-term use. Please check the device operation by checking a saved data in SD card, regularly. Please keep data user wants to save on other media. SD card is as expendables and the warranty is 6 months. Before removing SD memory card, please turn off main power switch and LED on main device. It may cause malfunction when attempting to detach SD card by force. Static or external voltage may destroy the saved data when storage or delivery. Keep the device in card case. We encourage to format SD card once a month, regularly. How to format SD card on PC 1. Connect SD card to PC 2. Click [my computer] in [start] menu 3. Move mouse point to SD card in [removable disk] and click right button, select format in menu 4. Select FAT32 in [File system] 5. Click [Start] SD card is as expendables. So ecell can not guarantee to keep it when warranty is over and damaged data and data loss by user carelessness. 6 / 30

12 1-6. Inserting and removing a memory card Insert the Micro SD Card as shown below with the red arrow. Remove the micro SD card by pressing in on the card to disengage the locking mechanism as shown above with the blue arrow. Turn off the FOCUS system and wait until the LED indicator is off before you remove the micro SD card in order to prevent any damage on the recorded video files. 12 / 30

14 1-8. Installing the device Main Device 그림필요 Insert a micro SD memory card to the device. (Refer to page.11) Attach the mounting clip on the main device as shown above. Remove a debris on position attaching the device to the desired location. Mount the device on the place preventing a visual obstruction while you are driving. Insert a Wi-Fi Dongle to the device. (Refer to page.12) Remove the liner from the double-sided tape. 14 / 30

15 1-8. Installing the device Fix the front and rear camera, connect the cable Front Rear Remove the lens protection film from the camera. Clean selected surface thoroughly before attaching the camera to the desired location. Attach a double-sided tape on the camera cradle. Mount the camera on the place preventing a visual obstruction while you are driving. Front view camera Connect the camera cable to the CAM1 socket of the main device. Rear view Camera: Connect the camera cable to the CAM2 socket of the main device. 15 / 30

16 1-8. Installing the device Using the cigar jack cable Yellow cable: ACC Red cable : BAT (Battery) 1 2 Black cable : GND Connect the cigar jack power cable to the DC In socket on the main device. Connect the opposite end of the cigar jack power cable to the cigar jack socket of your vehicle. The manufacturer recommend the provided cables with black box. The cable that use continuous power -> Please contact the authorized seller to use the continuous power of the vehicle to operate the FOCUS system. Caution : If use Cigarette Lighter socket(always-on), vehicle battery can be discharged. 16 / 30

17 1-8. Installing the device The external GPS antenna(sold Separately) Connect the external GPS antenna to GPS socket on the device. Clean selected surface thoroughly before attaching the GPS antenna to the desired location. Remove the liner from the double-sided tape. Mount the GPS antenna on the place preventing a visual obstruction while you are driving. Please use only the external GPS cable of manufacturer. User is liable to related problem by using other products. 17 / 30

20 2. Device outline 2-1. Features Wi-Fi Connection 1) The Wi-Fi connection allows you to a) view a real-time video images, b) playback and download recorded video files, and c) adjust the Black Box settings via Android-based or ios-based mobile devices. There is no hidden fees associated with using the Wi-Fi connection. ** Applied Android and ios. Driving Recording 1) The FOCUS system start recording videos only when the power is on. 2) In driving recording mode, the video images will be saved every minute. 3) When the micro SD card is full, the oldest image will be automatically deleted first. Event Recording 1) The impact sensor is activated by physical impacts such as fast accelerations including sudden unintended acceleration, hard brakes, external shocks, and so on. In such case, the FOCUS system will record the video image for 30 seconds (15 seconds before the point of event and 15 seconds after). Parking Recording 1) The FOCUS system will keep recording video in case of using continuous power even if the vehicle is turned off. 2) In parking recording mode, the FOCUS records video when it detects the changes in the acceleration sensor value caused by external shock or motion detection. 3) You may choose which camera to activate in parking mode: either front camera only or both cameras (Refer to the mobile app manual). * Please contact the related vendor for using continuous power connection. Saving video in case of disruption power 1) The auxiliary power system of the FOCUS system allows the device to securely save video images of accidents even though the regular power -- power from the car battery -- is disrupted due to unexpected events such as major car wreck. 6 Prevention of full discharged of car 1) The FOCUS system has an internal circuit which cuts the power from the continuous power source to the device in order to prevents battery discharge. Set the cut-off voltage to 12.2V as recommended (Refer to mobile app manual). 20 / 30

23 2. Device outline 2-4. Basics Ready for video recording (Device boot) 1. Insert a micro SD card to the device Connect the power cable to the device Main LED indicator blinks 2. When the FOCUS system is ready, you will hear "FOCUS is initialized." In a few seconds, you will hear "Driving recording mode is turned on. 3. If the FOCUS system successfully receive the GPS signal, you will hear "GPS is connected. (Note that the GPS antenna is sold separately; thus, you will not hear voice guidance unless you purchase it separately.) 4. If the devices are connected via Wi-Fi, the Wi-Fi indicator blinks. Driving Recording Mode 1. The FOCUS system continuously records video and save the video file every minute. The video files are saved in 'Normal" folder in the micro SD card. 2. When the micro SD card is full, the oldest image will be automatically deleted first. 3. If the ignition switch is off or the power cable is pulled out from the cigar jack, the device will be turned off accordingly. However, if the device is directly connected to continuous power, the device will resume in parking mode. (Remove the micro SD card only after the LED indicator is turned off; otherwise, the most recently recorded video file will be damaged.) Event Recording Mode 1. The FOCUS system start recording videos when the impulse detect by the acceleration sensor in driving recording mode exceeds the predetermined threshold value. In such a case, the video files will be saved in the "Event" folder of the micro SD card. 2. When the qualified event takes place, the device will record video images up to 30 seconds seconds before and after the event. 3. You will hear the beeping sound three times, "Beep Beep Beep," when the event recording mode resumes due to the qualified event. 4. When the device returns to driving recording mode, you will hear the beeping sound twice, "Beep Beep" Parking mode (This function is available in case of connection with continuous power.) 1. Parking Recording Mode (This mode is available only when the device is connected to continuous power) 2. You will hear "Parking recording mode is started." if the vehicle is turned off. 3. If the device detects crash or motion, it will record video images and save them in the "Parking" folder of the micro SD card. 4. 24 2. Device outline 2-4. Basics Audio recording setting ON/OFF 1. You may disable audio recording by pressing the "Mute" button shortly. Voice guidance will confirm the recording status. SD Card Format 1. If you press the "Mute" button for 5 seconds and release afterwards, you will hear the beeping sound for 5 times. Then, you will hear "SD card format is started which confirms that the device begin formatting the SD card. Push the button and hand away after Beep 5 times. Factory reset 1. If you press the "Mute" button for 10 seconds, you will hear the beeping sound for 10 times. Then, you will hear "Factory reset is started which confirms that the device will be reset to the original factory settings. 2. The device will reboot automatically when the factory reset is completed. Back up saved data on device before resetting the device. Push the button and hand away after Beep 10 times. 26 3. Appendix 3-1. FAQ Question The device does not turn on. Answer Check the power cable to confirm that the device is connected to the power source The device does not start up correctly. I cannot playback saved videos. I keep hearing "Please check the SD card" repeatedly. The device does not record audio. Voice guidance message is not loud enough. Wi-Fi connection is not stable. Check if the power cable is genuine and works properly. Check if the micro SD card is mounted correctly. Check if the micro SD card is formatted to a FAT32 file system. Check if the micro SD card is defective or counterfeit. May not play according to player character. Either the micro SD card is not mounted or it is damaged. 1) Remove the micro SD care and mount it back to the device. 2) If the previous solution does not work, format the micro SD card (Refer to page 23) 3) If you still hear the warning message after formatting the micro SD card, you need to format the card using a personal computer or replace with a new card. Check the audio recording setup. Check the sound control setup. This problem may not interfere with playing saved video files. No influence on saving video. Wi-Fi connection is not stable. 29 3. Appendix 3-2. Precautions for Warranty Service It is your responsibility to periodically back up saved data from the FOCUS system. Some or all data in the inner storage device could be unavoidably deleted; therefore, it is highly recommended that you back up your data before making a request of warranty services. Customer service center assumes that customers are aware of the importance of performing data back up. Thus, we do not necessarily perming data back up for customers. Therefore, ecell is not responsible for the damage or loss of data that takes place while performing warranty services. 29 / 30
