3 VT ENHANCEMENTS AND NEW FEATURES - FIRMWARE Screen Saver Screen Saver page always on. Requires a password to access the home screen page once the screen saver, lock screen, and user password have been enabled. This feature is used to prevent unauthorized users from accessing the Home Screen information when a room controller is installed in a public or high traffic location. 2 HMI Feature for Relative Setpoint 3 Objects HMI 12 with Relative Setpoint. For hospitality or public locations where a facility manager does not want to provide its customer the actual temperature or setpoint value on the home page, but still wants to provide a minimum level of control. The feature displays the incremental/decremental steps in numeric format from which the user has changed the setpoint from the facility manager s default value. The adjustable range will vary depending on the facility manager s setting of the Max heating and Min cooling values on page 2/2 Setpoints. Enabled LUA scripting of MV/MI/MO and MSV/MSI/MSO BACnet objects. This permits Room Controller client communications with third party HVAC devices such as a VRF. 4 Zero Crossing Zero crossing feature enabled automatically on production units with new PCB without requiring the installation of a jumper wire. New PCB expected in production July 2017 timeframe and subject to depletion of existing inventory levels. Zero Crossing issue solved on PCB version 3-02 for SE8300 model. 1 Changeover Temperature Sensor When the measured changeover temperature sensor surpasses 150 F, the Room Controller reads the value as being out of range and the mode of operation can remain in its default Cool mode. It now correctly switches the reversing valve from Cool to Heat when reaching this threshold. 2 Fan Control Heat Default Setting Correction to the default setting on page 2 of the Configuration Menu to match the User Guide documentation that the default value is On. 1 Range Display on Home Screen 2 Languages +/- 9.5F off the median In Celsius, depending on min/max, it may fluctuate from -5.0 to +5.5 or from -5.5 to +5.0 Bulgarian language disabled 3 Range Display on Home Screen High and Low limits used to calculate median value require using formulas Setting the setpoint to max/min on Home screen and then changing the max/min, the setpoint falls outside of range 4 Temperature Compensation Manufacturing issue and not related to FW Measured temperature error exceeds 3 C 5 Zero Crossing on PCB Version 3-01 Zero Crossing not supported. Requires Jumper to be installed.
4 4 ENHANCEMENTS AND NEW FEATURES - FIRMWARE ZigBee Operating Enhancements Re-establishment of network when swapping out a room controller and using previously deployed VCM module, Change in the alarm message when communications is lost between the room controller and an external ZigBee device to No communication. 2 Zero Crossing Feature Closure or opening of onboard relays governing the Inputs/Outputs that control external HVAC equipment loads is now switched at the zero crossing point of the input AC power source to reduce possibility of high inrush currents that may prematurely wear out the relays. A jumper wire between pins 5 and 24 needs to be installed to enable the feature. 3 CO 2 Sensor Plugin Module Firmware detects the presence of the plug-in CO 2 module and displays the readings (in PPM) on the home screen. 1 A ZigBee sensor rejoining the network rejoins back to its original position in the Ecosystem page, Pairing Ready status disabled when exiting the Wireless Ecosystem menu. 3 The combination of a Jace, VT8000 and Confirmed COV notifications results in token-passing issues. Revert to polling only when combining VT8000 series controllers with a Jace.
5 5 ENHANCEMENTS AND NEW FEATURES - FIRMWARE Support the screen saver mode To reduce ghosting effect on the LCD, a screen saver mode is added to the object standby screen. When this mode is selected and the occupancy status is STANDBY or UNOCCUPIED, the LCD backlight gets cut and a white page is displayed. Note. The screen saver mode will reduce the possibility of having ghosting images and decrease its severity. 2 Change translation of two words in Finnish (Fan setting and Mode setting) 3 Implement on-press handling of UI buttons 1 Confirmed COV Notifications for BACnet COV now wait for the Simple-ACK 2 BACnet COV Notifications are now sent in a fixed order 3 The combination of a Jace, VT8000 and Confirmed COV notifications results in token-passing issues. Revert to polling only when combining VT8000 series controllers with a Jace.
