1 QuickBooks Payments For WooCommerce : Introduction: QuickBooks Payments For WooCommerce provides an easier, cost effective and simple alternative for a small business for accepting credit cards. Customers stay on your store during checkout instead of being redirected to an externally hosted checkout page, which has been proven to lead to higher conversion rates. This extension supports merchants using an QuickBooks Payments account for ecommerce processing, or the legacy QBMS (QuickBooks Merchant Services) payment accounts. This document will show you how to setup and configure the extension to work with your Intuit QBMS account Key Features: Customers never leave your site Complete transaction process will be completed within the same page so the customer never leaves your site. Download the extension from your codecanyon dashboard 2. Go to Plugins > Add New > Upload and select the ZIP file you just downloaded 3. Click Install Now, and then Activate 4. Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Checkout and read the next section to learn how to setup and configure the plugin. Requirements: This plugin has a few hosting / environment requirements to be aware of: Your site must use PHP 5.3 or newer (you can see this under WooCommerce > System Status) Your server must include OpenSSL. Most hosts compile PHP with OpenSSL, but if you see a notice that openssl is required, you must reach out to your hosting company to resolve this. Dependant Plugin: WooCommerce. 1

2 Quickbook Payments Set Up: Setting up Quickbooks Payments is a bit of a winding process, as Quickbooks requires an app for your store to connect to. You ll need to create your own app in the developer console to connect your store to Quickbooks Payments. We ll walk you through these steps and how to get your app credentials. Create Your Intuit App: First you ll need to create a developer account with Intuit. This is entirely free, but we ll need it to set up a connection app with Intuit. You can create one here or log into an existing account if you have one. Step 1: Click on My Apps, then Step 2: Create New App. Step 3: Click on Select APIs. 2

3 Step 4: Check Payments for the API type, then Step 5: click on Create App. Step 6: With your new app, click on Settings, as we ll need to add your store URLs and some basic info. Step 7: Enter a name for your app it can be whatever you d like. Step 8: Select QuickBooks Payments in APIs. 3

5 1. Now scroll down to enter some store information to get your app credentials. Complete the development / production fields with your store s information, along with the terms of service and privacy policy URLs. Note that the Launch and Disconnect URLs don t really matter, so you can use your homepage, store URL, or whatever you d like. 2. Scroll up and click Save to submit your new settings. 3. Once you ve submitted the store information, copy the API credentials you have under Keys > Development Keys for testing mode and Keys > Production Keys for live mode. 5

6 If you see this: Paste the Development Client Id and Client Secret Key credentials into the plugin settings Development Client Id and Development Client Secret Key, save them and you re ready to connect. And copy your Redirect URL from your plugin setting and Paste your Redirect URL in Redirect URL section. 6

7 If you see this: Paste the Production Client Id and Client Secret Key credentials into the plugin settings Production Client Id and Production Client Secret Key, save them and you re ready to connect. And copy your Redirect URL from your plugin setting and Paste your Redirect URL in Redirect URL section. 7

8 Connect to Intuit: Once you ve entered your app s Production Client ID / Development Client ID and Production Client Secret key / Development Client Secret key, you can save your settings. Before the setting save, Plugin Setting Page will look like the below screenshot: 8

9 After the setting save, you ll now be able to connect to quickbooks, as the plugin s Connect To Quickbook button will enable. 9

10 Click Connect to Quickbooks button to open the connect dialog for Intuit. If your credentials are correct, you ll be able to connect to your new app. Note: Before clicking on Connect to Quickbooks button, add below Redirect URL as Redirect URL in Quickbooks. Click Connect / Authorize to do so. Connect to your app. 10

12 Extension Settings: Enable / Disable This will enable the Payment Gateway to be used by customers to checkout. Title This is the text shown for the payment during checkout and on the Order Received page. Description This is the text shown under the title during checkout. Limited HTML is allowed. If you enable test mode, this section will also display a notice along with test credit card numbers. Instructions This is the text shown on the Thank You page. Change Credentials This is the button which is used to change the credentials and it will only appear when Quickbooks Connectivity is done. Production Client Id This is the Production Client ID for your Intuit app. Production Client Secret Key This is the Production Client Secret key for your Intuit app. Development Client Id This is the Development Client ID for your Intuit app. Development Client Secret Key This is the Development Client Secret key for your Intuit app. Quickbooks Sandbox This is the checkbox for the switch between Production mode and Development mode. If you Enable Quickbooks sandbox ( Development mode if checked). 12
