DB9 Connector / Pin Header is provided (as shown in Figure) for interfacing with the CPU Board.

1 Bluetooth Interface Module Datasheet Bluetooth Interface Module Product Overview Bluetooth Interface Module provides the Bluetooth Communication between CPU Board and any Bluetooth enabled device. This Module can be used to transfer different types of files as well as commands to the CPU Board. The board is based on SPBTCA Bluetooth module. DB9 Connector / Pin Header is provided (as shown in Figure) for interfacing with the CPU Board. As the board is meant for developing the projects at academic level, the board comes with GPIO Pins which can be used for driving external devices (LED, Relay) etc. The board has inbuilt standard DB9 connector for PC Interface. iwave Systems Technologies Pvt Ltd Page

4 Power Bluetooth Interface board can be powered by below options. ) External V from AC to DC Adapter ) Deriving V directly from CPU Board using external Power cable Power jack (.mm) is provided to derive external V from AC to DC Adapter. A Pin connector is provided on the board, to derive V directly from CPU Board. (These connectors can be used during testing or debugging). Reset Switch: Push button Reset option is provided for manual reset of the board. LED: An LED is provided on board to indicate.v is ON Memory The Bluetooth Module SPBTCA.AT consists of kb of Flash Memory and 8 kb of RAM. Input & Output The Bluetooth Interface Board has a number of communicating options with CPU and PC. The board also consists of GPIOs which can be utilized as per requirements. The Different Input and Output options are detailed below: Pin Header: The Pin Header is used for interfacing with the CPU Board. It carries Transmit and Receive Signals from Bluetooth Module along with Handshaking signals. Standard DB9: Standard DB9 is provided for PC communication. This can also be used for Software updating as well as CPU Board interface. GPIOs: GPIOs are provided at an edge of the board, which can be utilized by the user. 5 Communication The board is designed for serial communication between the Bluetooth module and a CPU Board. Standard UART signals are used for transferring the data between board and PC. Two handshaking signals (CTS and RTS) are used for synchronization. The data from any Bluetooth enabled device are transferred to the main CPU Board through this module. Physical Characteristics The length and width of the Bluetooth Add-On module is mm X mm.
