Introduction The NXE-IGM45H(Hermes) motherboard offers a time-to-market consumer application solution featuring the Intel Mobile Core2Duo T9400 and Mobile Celeron 575 series processor with the 1066/800/667 MHz system bus and Intel GM45 & ICH9M chipset. Additional H/W platform features include integrated graphics controller core, DDR2 800 / 667 System memory, SATA2(3Gbps) port, MXM type-ii slot based on PCI-Express x16, Mini PCI-Express x1 slot, Giga-bit LAN based on PCI-Express x1 interface, Universal Serial Bus 2.0 and PCI audio solution with HD audio CODEC. 1. Memory The NXE-IGM45H(Hermes) motherboard has two Small Outline Dual Inline Memory Module (SO-DIMM), minimum 256MB to maximum 3GB memory size. The BIOS detects the memory type, size, and speed through SMBUS interface between the core chipset and SO-DIMM module automatically. The motherboard supports the following memory features Maximum memory size : 3GB Support DDR2 800, DDR2 667 Two Memory Channel configuration : Dual-channel Symmetric or Dual-channel Asymmetric 64-bit wide per channel 256Mb, 512Mb, 1Gb and 2Gb memory technologies supported Support for x8 and x16 DDR2 devices Support for DDR2 On-Die Termination (ODT) Supports partial writes to memory using data mask signals (DM) No support for ECC 2-3 BIOS θ SPI Flash(8M-bit, 64Kbyte x 16blocks) The NXE-IGM45H(Hermes) motherboard uses a AMI BIOS which is stored in the flash memory. An old version of the BIOS can be updated to the newer version using the flash utility.
