Hatteland Display would like to welcome you to Oslo and to Nor-shipping 2011! This Visions is a special Nor-shipping edition highlighting many NEW PRODUCTS that will for the first time be introduced at this year s exhibition. Furthermore, these products will also be available for closer viewing at our showroom off site in down-town Oslo. As with previous years we don t have our own stand at the Nor-Shipping exhibition, instead the showroom will give you the opportunity to see our new and existing products in much more detail. The modules used in Series X, are all qualified having undergone and passed our extensive test program, which includes HALT testing. 2 Introducing Series X - Our next generation of displays and panel computers Two of the smallest Series X models are the 8 inch and 13.3 inch. These models are ideal for applications such as engine control systems, automation systems, propulsion control and more. Hatteland Display s new Series 1, 26 inch display responds not only to the maritime market's demand for this size of monitor, but positively and emphatically raises the standard. Hatteland Display's new Series 1, 26 inch display responds not only to the maritime market's demand for this size of monitor, but positively and emphatically raises the standard. The choice of solely embedded components (including embedded LCD panel), and the inclusion of Hatteland Display optical bonding technology as standard, makes this display a robust choice for your system. The Series 1 range of maritime displays has become synonymous in the professional market segment for its reliability and longevity of supply. With this new 26 inch display, the company introduces yet another product with the common features used by many customers already through the extensive Series 1 product portfolio. The key new attribute of the 26 inch display will be to integrate a 16:10 wide screen format industrial LCD panel from an embedded list, into a type approved and economically attractive package for a maritime system. 5 The optimal ECDIS package Display calibration is a very important aspect of ECDIS. ECDIS represents one of the most rigorous applications of display technology. The cost of making an error in recognition on the display is potentially very high if not fatal. Therefore it is important that ECDIS integrity is maintained and that specifically, monitors match the colour characteristics specified in relevant standards. Hatteland Display supplies both computers and displays to provide an overall ECDIS approved installation. The hardware also meets the requirements set in IEC 62288, IEC 62388, IEC and IEC Finally, to ensure the required performance of the system, the RGB colour coordinates are corrected by software algorithms as part of the process. Sophisticated calibration procedure is necessary to account for the different display properties. Inverse colour model transformation allows you to predict what RGB values should be used to produce desired colours on the screen. This process is complicated because the three nonlinear colours have to be corrected simultaneously. Hatteland Display ECDIS calibration overcomes this problem and ensures correct matching between the requirements and actual product. With our extensive technical knowledge and experience, we can deliver the best quality typeapproved ECDIS displays fulfilling IMO requirements. A very large amount and variety of display information has to be presented, distinguished and prioritized on the ECDIS screen. With the night applications all the information must be accurately displayed at very low luminance levels. These points illustrate the need to obtain the maximum performance from the display, in terms of effective colour specification and calibration. The process uses highly specialised calibration equipment e.g. Konica-Minolta CA-210 colour analyzer. Supplied with, detailed implementation instructions and extensive support. The standard communication interface with the monitors includes RS232 / RS422 and RS485. DAY DUSK NIGHT Colour management ensures consistent colour communication while maintaining an open system. Adding and removing devices is based on calibration profiles. Hatteland Display supplies the most flexible method that can be used with several types of graphical adapters at a time. 6 Hatteland Display's Compact Fanless series expanding HT B17, the smallest unit in our compact fanless series, is equipped in its basic configuration with the same high performance electronics as its larger sibling, HT B18. As with all Hatteland products, the HT B17 is made of standard modules, used across our product ranges. The benefit of having modular designs is used when we created the latest version of the HT B17, the "GE" version. We simply installed a proven Intel QM57 based mini-itx motherboard in our standard HT B17 chassis. This gave us upgraded performance in very short time, with less effort and with confidence. HT B17GE is designed with focus to the most common functional requirements found in marine applications. This gives a slim and cost effective solution without jeopardizing the extraordinary environmental performance that comes with the standard HT B17 versions. 8 General information Enhanced sunlight readability through in-house optical bonding Optical bonding greatly enhance the viewing performance, reliability and lifespan of marine displays. It is a process whereby the air gap between the front glass panel and LCD module is filled with a special proprietary compound to negate all of the problems related with marine use such as condensation, sunlight reflection, dust and overheating.
