1 Portable ISO11785 Midrange LF Reader The GOLFPRB550 is a portable, ISO 11784/785 compliant, midrange reader with software based advanced digital signal processing for extraordinary performance in dynamic or static reading environments, especially for pig, sheep and goat populations. The reader includes a patented auto-tuning function which adapts its antenna in a wide range to changing mounting conditions (e.g. raceway, weight scales). The reader allows wired or wireless EID communication to most weight scale models. On the other hand combined with an APR500 handheld reader it offers a Race Mode where the read EID as well as its visual ID are displayed and stored in the handhelds non-volatile memory. Additionally an animal counter function is available on the handheld display. The APR500 s memory contents can be transmitted via GPRS, Bluetooth or any other integrated interface to the related data base. The Agrident PC software offers easy reader configuration, display of the read EID, EID storage in a text file and counting of read animals. 4 Portable Midrange reader for dynamic or static identification of sheep, goats or pigs: The reader is ISO-11784/785 standard compliant and reads FDX-B and HDX tags with a reading distance of 75 and 90 cm respectively using an APA106 antenna (50x60cm) and 30mm ear tags. The new APA antenna design offers less influence from the proximity of metal and electromagnetic interferences, thereby improving the reading distance. The reader provides several possibilities of antenna tuning definable during reader setup/configuration: o Manual adjust initiated through push button on front panel o Automatic antenna tuning continuous during normal reader operation o Antenna tuning on start-up only or o Initiated by a dedicated reader protocol command. The Integrated Diagnosis Function (IDF) patent pending allows in situ evaluation of surrounding noise levels without the need of additional measurement equipment like a spectrum analyzer. The reader is designed for continuous operation under the most adverse conditions in race ways, at scales, separation gates or handling sleeves. Standard communication through RS232 and/or RS485; optional add-on communication modules for Bluetooth, WLAN or Ethernet are available. The integrated wireless synchronization provides the best operation results in applications with multiple readers if HDX transponders are present only. A Wired Synchronization Module allows the operation of multiple readers in fixed installations where mixed reading of HDX and FDX transponders is necessary. Interconnecting the GOLFPRB550 portable reader with the APR500 handheld reader (through RS232 or Bluetooth) offers a simple and robust solution to visualize and store EID readings in non-volatile memory for off-line processing. 5 GOLFPRB550 LF ISO11785 Portable RFID Reader ABT100 Bluetooth Module With the ABT100 Bluetooth module every stationary ASR550 Reader can be Bluetooth enabled.
