1 VAIO Personal Computer VGN-UX37GN/L & VGN-UX38GN VGN-UX38GN Hong Kong, June 11, Sony Corporation of Hong Kong Limited today expanded the pocket-sized VAIO Personal Computer UX Series with the addition of two new models, the VGN-UX37GN/L and VGN-UX38GN. Upholding the reputation as the world s smallest full-function personal computer, the new UX models are designed to be a full-fledged personal computer and multimedia companion to fulfill computing needs in every way. The VGN-UX37GN/L and VGN-UX38GN possess an enhanced graphics memory of 251MB, empowering users to express their creative ideas and unleash their imagination through graphical applications. Weighing only 486 g, the VGN-UX38GN goes one step further to replace the hard disk drive with flash memory. This remarkable exchange minimizes the computer s internal movements to create increased durability, better performance stability and higher shock resistance when used in mobile environments such as vehicles and planes. The battery is extended to 3.5 hours for utmost flexibility when used on the go. The UX Series features a number of human-machine interface styles to match different usage needs and preferences. The unique Keyboard Style sees a built-in keyboard that slides out under the LCD screen for access to typing when needed and neat storage when not in use. The Writing Style makes drawing or jotting random thoughts simultaneous. The Vertical Style of UX allows users to rotate the web browser screen effortlessly into a vertical or horizontal orientation. Automatic resizing allows file viewing without scrolling. Moreover, the Grip for Mobile Style allows users to operate both models with thumb-operated side buttons on the U-shaped design body for cursor control and zooming. Both new UX models are equipped with Intel Centrino Mobile Technology, Intel Core Solo Processor U1500 (1.33GHz) for fast processing and long battery life. The UX Series comes with Microsoft Genuine Windows Vista Business (English version) with Traditional Chinese Language Pack operating system.
