10 Is this a product? Questions and Answers The Freescale SABRE platform for smartbooks is a functional example design to demonstrate proof of concept capabilities. Freescale expects this design will be used as an example or template for products that will be launched into the market in The concept for the design was driven by Freescale. It was created in collaboration with Inventec Appliance Corporation (IAC) who focused on hardware and Thundersoft who focused on the software optimization and integration. Can I buy it? Who sells it? When will it be available? How much does it cost? This is an example design and units are not available for purchase.
