2 The 2004 catalogue is a resource intended for all Altuglas and Tuffak users. During design and production, architects, designers, manufacturers and distributors will find within it a range of products available to suit their needs. The development of new technologies and the quest for products to meet new requirements and new design ideas is what guides the development of our range. Altuglas and Tuffak are registered trademarks of Atofina. ALTUGLAS CN CAST ACRYLIC SHEET Light transmission better than glass (92 % for clear sheet). High resistance to UV radiation. No change in mechanical or optical properties over time. Easy to process, shape and bond. Very wide selection of colours and special versions in a range of thicknesses. Non-standard colours available in small quantities. Blocks up to 400 mm in thickness. ALTUGLAS EX EXTRUDED ACRYLIC SHEET Light transmission and resistance to UV radiation: equivalent to those of Altuglas CN. Ideally suited to thermoforming. Close and constant thickness tolerances. Very wide range of special products: matt sheet, patterned sheet, mirror finish. ALTUGLAS EI EXTRUDED IMPACT-RESISTANT ACRYLIC SHEET High impact resistance. High resistance to chemicals and stress cracking. TUFFAK EXTRUDED POLYCARBONATE SHEET Very high impact resistance. Resistance to high temperatures. PRODUCTION RANGE Other grades, thicknesses and colours can be produced to order, subject to certain conditions: Firm order, not subject to modification. Delivery of entire batch, etc.

3 SPECIALITY PRODUCTS ALTUGLAS CN DUAL SATIN Cast sheet with 2 matt surfaces, very wide choice of colours. Soft to the touch, coupled with excellent light transmission and diffusion. Applications: POS, shop fittings, interior design, furniture, etc. ALTUGLAS CN VISIO Cast sheet, specifically for projection and rear-projection of pictures. High visual impact with improvements in brightness and contrast, better colours. Applications: Dynamic advertising displays, signs, etc. ALTUGLAS CN SILVER STAR Cast sheet with metallised micro-particles on 1 surface only. Matt or gloss surface finish, wide range of pastel or pigmented colours. Applications: Interior design, POS, fittings for sales areas, etc. ALTUGLAS METAL & PEARL Sheet produced using continuous casting process, with metallic or opal effects on both surfaces. Excellent thermoforming properties, deep colour effects. Applications: Visual communication and industrial components, etc. ALTUGLAS EX ELIT II Extruded sheet for edge lighting. Completely uniform illumination over the whole surface of the sheet, using light sources around the edge. Applications: Thin illuminated displays, etc. ALTUGLAS EX SRD Extruded sheet for construction of noise barriers. Meets EN 1793 and EN 1794 standards - ZTV Lsw88 certification: documentation available on request. Available in 15 and 20 mm thicknesses. ALTUGLAS CN BLACK N WHITE ALTUGLAS CN COLOUR N WHITE Cast sheet that is black in daylight; at night, under artificial lighting, the sheet becomes translucent white or translucent blue. Uses: Indoor signs, signals, illuminated decorations, etc. ALTUGLAS CNF & CIF (to order) Cast sheet with improved thermoforming qualities. CIF has the advantage of enhanced impact resistance. Applications: Thermoforming in small quantities (tinted or clear).

CUT SIZES Altuglas sheets can be cut to size. 1) Cutting in a range of formats Cutting tolerance: ± 1 mm/linear meter, with a minimum tolerance of ± 1 mm. Minimum weight of order: 250 kg per reference number, thickness and format. 2) Cutting on the extrusion line Cutting tolerance: ± 9 mm. Minimum order weight: 1 metric ton. WORKING SURFACE For pigmented and satin-finish qualities other than Altuglas Silver Star, the "working" surface to be used is the one whose protective layer has been printed on. STANDARD SIZES In the light of current changes in manufacturing techniques, the standard formats supplied may have slightly different dimensions from those shown in this catalogue. WEIGHTS OF SHEETS The weight of a sheet is arrived at by multiplying its surface area in m 2 by its thickness in mm and then by the density of the sheet. 23 - TUFFAK TECHNICAL DATA PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS Sheets manufactured by Atoglas meet the following standards: Altuglas CN: ISO Altuglas EX: ISO Tuffak A, XL, CM2: ISO COLOUR FORMULATIONS The light transmission and colour of "S" formulation products are constant, whatever the sheet thickness. The light transmission and colour of "T" formulation products, derived from a reference thickness, may vary as a function of sheet thickness. LIGHT TRANSMISSION Light transmission data (± 4) are measured for a thickness of 3 mm and with a D65 light source (artificial daylight). These data are for guidance only and are not contractual. GUARANTEE Altuglas and Tuffak sheets are guaranteed for 10 years. This guarantee covers light transmission, rigidity and mechanical strength under traction. The precise conditions of this guarantee are given in the "Ten-year guarantee" document. 23
