This ring evokes special memories of the traditions and images of TAMIU and may be cherished for a lifetime. The Official Ring is a symbolic, continuous link with university experiences, fellow classmates, and alumni. While the campus will grow, develop and change, the icons represented on this ring will not. The ring will remain unchanged as a tangible connection linking past, present and future generations of alumni at home and around the world. Graduates and students with over 75 credit hours are able to purchase the ring by phone at BALFOUR. Also, if you have the former ring, you may exchange it for the new one for FREE. Several Ring Committee Members at the Unveiling Ceremony held on October 21st in the USC.

Two new academic programs received funding from the Department of Education, totaling $6,061,035. These funds are part of the Strengthening Hispanic Serving Institutions Program. One grant, Engaging Sophomores/Graduation Roadmap Project, is designed to increase University sophomores retention rate. The Graduate Retention Enhancement Grant will assist Hispanic students in obtaining a graduate degree and ultimately, prepare them to attain a doctoral degree.
