Language Translation Students needing translation support, And can click on the translate button to translate from English to one of 70 languages. will read only 11 languages of the 70 languages it visually translates.

11 Language Translation Continued Editing the Underlying Text (Recognition errors or adding pauses.) When there is a recognition error or user needs to change the way a math equation is spoken, this is done by right clicking on the page and selecting Edit Underlying Text.

12 Editing the Underlying Text Continued If there is a common reoccurring error, such as in math x means times you can do a search and replace all. This is done by going to dropdown menu Edit, Find, and Replace Text. Be sure to choose Case Sensitive and Match Whole Word. Alternatively in math, you could zone out the equation to not read it and/or insert a Voice Note, to record your own voice reading the equation. Edit to Read Material Only Allowed Teachers can zone out text that is not allowed to be read using our zone editor under drop down menu, Scan, then Zone Editor. You can left click in the zone, then right click to edit the zone. Anything outside of the yellow boxes will not be read.

13 Adding Stop Marks When you want to pause after a section, you can use the Text Note button in the tool bar to make a blank Text note where you want to pause. This is helpful on pages where you have omitted readable text and the student is to read on their own. Also, placing this marker after each question might be helpful to the student. (Idea provided by Humble ISD) Custom Toolbar that Resembles Teachers and students can customize the toolbar to only have tools available that are similar to the STAAR. Teachers can customize toolbars for students or documents To do this, the user right clicks on a blank part to the tool bar, scroll down to Customize Tool Bar to remove or add tools.

14 Custom Toolbar Lock Features Teachers can lock features in documents to not be accessible or turned on during tests. This can be done by going to dropdown menu Tools, Lock Features and disabling the features. The lock features can then be saved to the document by going to dropdown menu File, Properties, and selecting Save Toolbar in Document and Save Feature Locks in document. Teacher can password protect the document as well from here.
