Competitors Usability Heuristics App Analysis
App Analysis Key Bad Poor Neutral Fair Bad Poor Neutral Fair Bad Poor Neutral Fair Bad Poor Neutral Fair Bad Poor Neutral Fair Sandeep Hundal UX Course
A lot going on here. The text is hard to read on the background image. Feel the user is not quite sure what to do. A User can clearly see the menu food options offered on the screen. Clean design the user can understand and read the labels and icons for support. A User can visit the recently ordered items or pick from their particular favorites. Jumping french fries is not a clear or good indication of what is happening to the system or what the user should expect next?
Checkmark labeling is incorrect color. Looks like an error message and seems to be misleading to the user. Should be a neutral color not red. Check-out screen lacks information about what you have ordered. Would be nice to display what you have ordered with the total. A User can proceed on and select items with incorrect zip code entered. The screen should display a message notifying the user zip code is invalid.
Nielsen Norman Group's 10 UX heuristic principle ratings 1. Visibility of System Status 2. System and the real world 3. User Control and Freedom 4. Consistency and Standards 5. Error Prevention 6. Recognition rather than recall 7. Flexibility and Efficiency of use 8. Aesthetic and minimalist design 9. Help users with errors 10. Help and documentation
A User can see the closest location. However, lacks in minimalist design. To much red makes this main menu screen look like an error screen and can be misleading. A User can clearly select an alternative time to pick up without leaving or being diverted to another screen. Not fond of the design, however, labels are marked and a user can understand what to do. A user can clearly see the basket is updated.
Like the design for the main home screen, however, I would like to see the Starbucks logo somewhere maybe on the white cup? Calorie count is consistent with the menu displayed at stores. Also, feel the user can easily view or alter the pickup location at the bottom of the screen. Clearly highlighted nav labeled at top of the screen lets the user know where they are at. Nice design and clear label messaging allows a user to set-up or choose from favorite items. A user can clearly select or modify the order. Clearly marked labels allow the user to know what they have ordered, how many orders are in the bag and where they order is going.
Not a fan of the design, however easy navigation. Lacks documentation that you cannot order through the App. Also would like to see more information on their signature products rather than just showing a picture. As a new User, I would not know what some of this terminology means? However, an In-n-Out Burger user knows this secret messaging menu so it is good in some way. Screen looks like it is frozen with its shaded tint. Branding here seems like we are on the Facebook App.
