Article Types Article Types are essentially categories in which to store your articles. Each category can be individually controlled to be displayed in various manners. You can also user the article type configuration to allow sharing, track likes/dislikes and generate Really Simple Syndication Feeds. Article Types are accessed in the main menu e-community -> Administration - > Manage Article Types The Article Types window will display all available article types and basic information about each. Display or Update can be used to review each in detail. To add a new Article Type, click the Add button. The Add Article Type Window will appear. Article Type - Enter a name for the Article Type. For example, My Blogs. Description - The description of the article is for information only. Class Name - If a class name is specified, it will be used as a div tag in the style sheet. Article Header, Article Footer - The Article Header and Article Footer drop-down lists contain all published articles. The selected article will be the header or the footer for articles of this Article Type. If this Article Type does not need a header or a footer, leave the Article Header and Article Footer fields blank. For consistency, you may want to create a header and a footer for the articles that will be displayed on web pages: o o o Create a Header Article Type for header articles and create a Footer Article Type for footer articles. Enter Header or Footer into the Article Type field on the Add Article Type window. Other fields are irrelevant (Actually, it does not matter how you name the header Article Type or footer Article Type. Articles of any Article Type can be added to another article as the header or a footer). Then create header articles or footer articles like a regular article. When you define an Article Type that will be the "body" of the web page (for example, Special Events), select the header article and/or footer article from the Article Headerand/or Article Page 4 of 47

The Archive Page (List Page) will list only today's articles and future articles. The one nearest in the future will appear first. This order is useful for listing upcoming events on the web page. It does not affect articles sent by e- mail. o Descending order (Today to Past) - If selected, no future articles will be shown. The Archive Page (List Page) will list only today's articles and past articles. The most recent one will appear first. This order is useful for listing articles such as press releases. It does not affect articles sent by . o o Ascending - If selected, the Archive Page (List Page) will list all past and future articles in ascending order. Descending - If selected, the Archive Page (List Page) will list all past and future articles in descending order. Page 5 of 47

Targets Andar Main Menu > e-community > Administration > Targets A Target is the context in which a portlet will be displayed or hidden. Think of a target as a "group of friends" on your Facebook (your family, your co-workers, your classmates in high school, your close friends, etc.) that you use to show or hide your posts on Facebook (For example, I want only my close friends to see this photo. Other friends should not see it. Another example: I want all my classmates in high school except my exgirlfriend to see this message.) Targets allow more categories than "groups of friends." A target could be any of the following: One account A group of accounts in a warehouse One article All articles of one article type One web page All web pages of one area within one web application All web pages of one web application All web pages of all web applications When you create a target, you don't need to know whether it will be used to show or hide a Portlet (similar to creating "groups of friends" on Facebook). You will decide whether to use it to show or hide a Portlet when you create that Portlet (similar to posting a message or a photo on Facebook). Targets are re-usable. A target can be used as a condition in many portlets. You might use a target to display one portlet but use the same target to hide another portlet. You can display a portlet unconditionally, display a portlet only in some targets, or display a portlet only in a combination of targets. When using a combination of targets to display or hide a portlet, it would be typically a combination of articles and accounts (e.g. Show it on these articles but only to these accounts) or a combination of web pages and accounts (e.g. Show it on these web pages but only to these accounts). Page 31 of 47

Add a Target You must create the target before it can be used as a condition in a Look and Feel Item. Targets are re-usable. Create a target only if it does not already exist. To add a target: Target - Enter a name for the Target. The name should be reflect what will be selected as the context. For example, e- Pledge_All for all the web pages of e-pledge. The name can be updated later. Description - Briefly describe the Target. For example, e-pledge - All Web Pages. Context to Show This Portlet - Choose one of the following as the context (The label "to Show This Portlet" is not correct. At this point you are simply selecting a context and you are not linking it to any portlet. This context could be used to show or hide a Portlet.) Specific Article - Choose a specific article. Article Type - Choose a specific a Article Type. Page - Choose all web pages of all web applications, all web pages of one web application, all web pages of one Area within a web application, or a specific web page. Only Accounts in Warehouse - Choose an account warehouse. Account - Choose only one account. Click Add. The new target will appear in the Targets Maintenance window. The target will be available for selection in the Add Look and Feel Definition window > Target section. Page 32 of 47

Target Usage Once a target is created, it will be available for selection in the Add Look and Feel Item window. It can be used as a condition or one of the conditions for displaying or hiding a Portlet. When you create a Portlet, you will decide to use target(s) to show or hide a Portlet You can display a portlet unconditionally, display a portlet only in some targets, or display a portlet only in a combination of targets. When using a combination of targets to display or hide a portlet, it would be typically a combination of articles and accounts (e.g. Show it on these articles but only to these accounts) or a combination of web pages and accounts (e.g. Show it on these web pages but only to these accounts). There are 3 lists of targets available for selection in the Add Look and Feel Definition window Target sections. Select the targets where you would like to show or hide this Portlet. Target Logic Display context includes any of these selected targets: Within this list, it is an OR condition among selected targets. This will display the Portlet when any of the conditions of the selected targets are met. Display context also includes all of these selected targets: Within this list, it is an AND condition among selected targets. This will display the Portlet when ALL conditions of the selected targets are met. Display context also does not include any of these selected targets: Within this list, it is an OR condition among selected targets. This will hide the Portlet when any of the conditions of the target are met. Page 33 of 47

Target Example I am planning a surprise birthday party for my husband. I want my family (Target 1), my husband's close friends (Target 2), and my husband's co-workers (Target 3) to see this message if they live in this city (Target 4) AND are coming to the party (Target 5). My husband (Target 6) and my 10-year-old daughter (Target 7) should not see it. 1. Display the portlet in Target 1, Target 2, and Target 3 2. Restrictions: Display the portlet in Target 1 if Target 1 also exists in both Target 4 and Target 5 Display the portlet in Target 2 if Target 2 also exists in both Target 4 and Target 5 Display the portlet in Target 2 if Target 3 also exists in both Target 4 and Target 5 3. Exclude both Target 6 and Target 7 The logic is expressed as: Page 34 of 47

MIG Letters Andar Main Menu > Communications > All Letter Template Maintenance Uses: General Letters Thank you Letters Tax Receipts Statements Each of these can be send out 1 of 4 ways when licensed with the MIG module: 1. 41 StyleSheets Andar StyleSheets are used in many places throughout Andar and e-community. StyleSheets are used to modify the appearance of content generated by Andar and can be applied to the following Areas: Container Items e-community with Style s Executive Plus General Letters Microsoft Outlook (Requires Outlook Connector) Print Profile Reports (Dashboards and Bio Tabs) Receipts Statements Subscriptions - Main Subscriptions - Table of Contents Thank you Letters The purpose of this document is to explain Andar StyleSheets and its various components. It is not intended to be a StyleSheet tutorial. Andar Stylesheets can be accessed through the Andar Main Menu: e-community -> Administration -> Style Sheet Maintenance The Style Sheet Maintenance window will display all of the StyleSheets contained in Andar. You will see the Style Name, Description, Type and Effective and Expiry Dates. From this screen StyleSheets can be Imported and Exported. Import or Export Styles Some style sheets (including those contributed by Andar users) can be downloaded from the Support Center and imported into your Andar database through the Style Sheet Maintenance window. These CSS styles will have the file extension.xss. After downloading the CSS styles, go to Andar > e-community > Administration > Style Sheet Maintenance. Click on the Import button to import it into Andar. The imported style will appear in the Style Sheet Maintenance window. You can display or modify to suit your needs. The imported CSS style sheets will be available for the corresponding functions. Page 39 of 47

Add a StyleSheet Clicking on the Add button in StyleSheet Maintenance Window will open the Add Style Sheet window. The settings on the StyleSheet as follows: the are Enter the name of the style in the Style Name field. This is the name that will be used in the various selection drop down menus throughout Andar. You are limited to twenty characters. Enter a Description in the Description field. You are limited to 70 characters. Select the Type of StyleSheet you are creating. This selection will determine the areas in which the Style will be available. The Use Table Style Layout will use an html table to layout the Individual Bio/Dashboard items as opposed to using 'div tags.' This will affect how the CSS can be designed. If multiple Apps exist in the same row of a Bio Tab or a Dashboard, some of the contents might be cut off. Leaving this unchecked will cause the report to print the Apps one after another instead of showing them in the same row. The Effective Date is the date on which the StyleSheet becomes active and the Expiry Date is the date on which the StyleSheet becomes inactive. Page 40 of 47

StyleSheet Tab The StyleSheet Tab is the area where your CSS code will be inserted. This tab is not available when the type is selected. Standard CSS should be entered on this page. Style tags will not be needed. The style sheet can refer to relative URLs. You can set a specific base URL in System Preferences - Andar Reports Panel> Base URL for Style Sheet. Andar will translate the relative URL to a proper URL. Insert Images will show a list of images on the Attached Files tab that can be inserted into the style sheet. In order to insert images into the style sheet, the images must be attached to the Attached Files tab first. Page Header Tab The Page Header Tab is used to insert HTML, CSS or JavaScipt code. Page Footer Tab The Page Header Tab is used to insert HTML, CSS or JavaScipt code. Insert Variable - Variables can be embedded in the header/footer to retrieve values from the Andar database. When the header/footer is displayed, the variables will be replaced by the actual values. For example, <AccountName> might be replaced by Robert Johnson. Insert Images will show a list of images on the Attached Files tab that can be inserted into the style sheet. In order to insert images into the style sheet, the images must be attached to the Attached File stab first. Per Record Tab The Per Record tab is for entering text, variables, and HTML that will be used to format a record such as articles in newsletters. You may put web links for substitution in the Per Record text. Make sure it has the A HREF link so that users will be able to click on the links and have it open in a browser. The same applies to mailto: links. Clicking on them will either open in their client or Andar (depending on current settings). The Per Record style is typically used in creating style sheets to display the contents as a web page in Andar Executive Plus. Page 41 of 47

Attached Files The Attached Files tab is used to hold files to be used in association with the StyleSheet. Available Actions on the Attached Files tab View You can click on this button to view the attached file. If this is an image file, the Image Preview will show a thumbnail image. Check Out allows you to save the attached file on a local drive for editing purposes. If you change the file name while saving it to the local drive, the file name in Andar will also change to the new name. Once a file is checked out, the Check Out button will become Check In. Clicking on Check In will copy the edited file back into Andar. Check In will save the changes made to the checked out file. Once a file is checked out, the Attached Files tab will show who is using the file (In Use By) and when it was checked out (In Use Date and In User Time). Don't change the path or file name after a file is saved on your local drive. If you change the file name or move the file to another directory after saving it, Check In will not find the file. Release Check Out If the file is checked out, Release Check Out will become enabled. Release Check Out will check in the version of the file as it existed prior to being "checked out." Use this button if you decide not to save the changes made to the checked out file. This button can also be used to access a file that has been "checked out" of Andar by another user. Remove This allows you to delete the attached file. A Delete File dialogue will appear. Any files that have been "checked out" and saved on PCs will not be affected by this action. Page 42 of 47

Styles An StyleSheet contains all of the components to lay out an as it will be displayed in the recipient's browser or client. An style is used to wrap the content of your . When creating an style, create a complete HTML layout in standard HTML. When creating this layout, make sure that you have an area specifically designated for the main content. You can include CSS in the head of the document for all of the style components. When the layout is complete it can be transferred into Andar. The HTML should be broken into two parts. The break should occur at the exact point where you wish to have the content of the appear. All HTML prior to the break, will be placed into the Page Header Tab. All HTML after the break will be placed in the Page Footer Tab. When sending an using this type of StyleSheet, the content, Text, Article or Newsletter will be inserted at the break-point described above. Special Use of the Per Record Tab The Per Record tab can be left blank to use the default behavior. For each record, such as an article in a newsletter, the Title and Article Text will be displayed. <Title> <ArticleText> <Share> - If Active on the Article Type To override the default behavior, HTML can be added to format each record. Article Variables from the Article Types can be inserted into this HTML. <h1><title></h1> <p><synopsis></p> <p> <a href="<baseurl>comm/article.jsp?articleid=<articleid>&a=<hexaccount>">read more</a> </p> Page 43 of 47

PURLs PURLs or personalized URLs are simplified web addresses that are translations for more difficult address. They are used to make difficult addresses easily entered and remembered. PURLs can be used to access specific pages, specify accounts or perform functions. For Example, you would like to make an easy to remember address to your individual e-pledge page. You would use a PURL to accomplish this. Instead of using: D306C C7E3E You would set a PURL that reads: PURLs are found in the Andar Main Menu in: e-community -> Administration -> Personalized URL Maintenance In Personalized URL Maintenance, you will find a listing of all existing PURLs. This list will display the description of the PUR, the category, the To and From addresses, Effective and Expiry Dates and Special Handling. To add a new PURL, click the Add button. Page 44 of 47

Adding a PURL There are three required items when adding a PURL, the Description, the From URL and the To URL. The description is the name of the PURL, it should be entered as something describes what the PURL does, such as Give Page or Company Registration Link for Employees. The From URL is the address that you would like visitors to type in or click to access the page you intend. This should be easy to remember is preferably short. Remember we are trying to simplify the experience. Enter : /give NOTE: As of those using the ROOT context need not enter anything other than /PURLtext. Users who are using a context other than ROOT MUST enter their context. Check the Andar Base URL Preference to confirm. (e-community -> e-community - General) Example Base URL: myfundraiser.org/ - Uses Root Context myfundraiser.org/epledge - Uses epledge Context /epledge context users must enter: /epledge/give Page 45 of 47
