3 Search is a one-stop shop for all your active search resources. It enables you to search across multiple CV databases including your talent search database, job boards, Google+ & Social Sourcing. It is designed to be a useful, time saving resource which you will find invaluable. To access the multi-search product click on the Search tab 3
4 Search Product Tour When you first arrive on the search page you will receive a pop up box offering a Product Tour. This will give a quick overview of the product and its great features If you do not want to take part in the tour just click the cross on the top right corner Alternative access to the tour is available via the Product Tour hyperlink via the link in the top right corner 4
5 Search what s on my screen? This area will show how many results have been found This will allow you to Clear search criteria, Save searches, Create Watchdogs and Share Searches This area is for your search keywords and additional criteria This is where your Job board and social channels are select a channel to receive the results in the main page These channels are managed by your Superadmin user 5
6 Search Screen - continued This area will allow you to select additional unique criteria supported by the channel you have selected These action icons have bulk functionality to Tag, Shortlist and Message (see slide xx for further details) These action icons have individual functionality to Download, Forward CV, Shortlist, Message and Preview This Tag icon allows to add and assign Tags (skill codes, personal attributes) against candidates for future search breakdown 6
7 How to Start To start your search - enter your criteria from the top - your keywords should be in Boolean format and then insert a location for a radius search (if left blank it will conduct a global search) You can access extra criteria by maximising Within this section you can breakdown your search with additional criteria using CVs updated and Job Type droplists. You can also add a salary range. To minimise area select Broadbean has a free Boolean guide available via our website which will help with the basics up to the more advanced levels of Boolean logic 7
8 How to Start continued The next section down on the screen allows you to select job boards or social channels (as you click on the name it will generate the results so make sure you have some keywords in place before you select a channel) On the left hand side you can use the additional search criteria to filter your results. The criteria will change per channel selection to reflect what is supported by them. Use the white arrow to expand / minimise sections If a selection is made then the search will refresh to include your newest additional criteria 8
9 Search Social Channels About.me generalist profile search with access to contact potential candidates Flickr great for Design & creative Github great for technical candidates such as developers profile search Google+ - generalist Google profile search with access to any public links associated with a person e.g. blogs, slideshare Linkedin search public profiles on Linkedin Stackoverflow - great for technical candidates such as developers profile search Twitter Search public profiles on Twitter Xing search public profile on Xing great for Dutch / German candidates All Social and Public databases are free of charge and can be activated by your Superadmin user 9
10 Action buttons You will notice along the bottom of each candidate there are a set of action options. As you hover over each icon it will provide a function description 10
11 Action Buttons Continued Will allow you to Download the CV attachment Will allow you to Forward the CV to the address associated with your login Will allow you to Save the CV directly into the Talent Search database for future use (if applicable) Will allow you to Shortlist the candidate against an advert and will also copy into your Talent Search Will allow you to Message the candidate with or without a link to your advert (Please note this feature may charge a download to obtain the address for the messaging facility. Messaging candidates in your Talent Search channel is free and unlimited) Will allow you to Preview information about this candidate without having to download the CV attachment (content may vary per channel and charges may apply depending on agreement) Will allow you Longlist the candidate against the equivalent to a favourites list. You are allowed 20 lists per user and can access them afterwards. This doesn t perform a download Every action button used will automatically turn blue after use. It will also populate an activity record in the candidate snippet which can be viewed by everyone in your company (located bottom right corner of profile great for preventing duplication and sharing information! 11
12 Bulk Candidate Actions At the top of the results list there are 4 action options: Tags: This will allow you bulk tag your candidates so you can use these codes to help you breakdown future searches more quickly Message: If you select multiple candidates then click the message icon it allows you to bulk message candidates. Unlimited characters & unlimited messages (TS users only) Shortlist: This allows you to shortlist a candidate(s) to an advert which has been posted through Broadbean. Forward: This allows you to forward the candidate CVs to your user address 12
13 Tagging When you select the Tag icon (located at the top or on right hand corner of each candidate snippet) a pop-up box like the one shown below will open. To Tag (skill code) someone start to type the tag and a droplist will appear with existing codes that may match if they do select it! Hotlists are orange in colour and controlled by the account Superadmin user. These should be generic codes e.g. industry, geographical areas, team ownership etc. Tags are blue in colour and created by consultants. These should be specific codes e.g. fluent languages, job titles, skill sets, qualifications etc. If you need to create a new tag hit the return button. Then press the Submit button. Ideas for Tags Tagging candidates with their primary skills or key strengths is a fantastic way to breakdown your searches in future. Long term benefits are great and will enable you to resource much faster! You can search by tag, qualify candidates and get them to your clients before your competitors ideal for tough markets! 13
14 Shortlisting When you select the Shortlist icon a pop-up box like the one shown below will open. To Shortlist (Green Flag) someone to an advert which has been posted via Broadbean, select the advert from the drop down list. Then press the Submit button. When you have clicked the Submit button you will receive confirmation of the candidates that have been shortlisted successfully. To return to your results click on Back To Results button 14
15 Messaging When you select the message icon a pop-up box like the one shown below will open. You can amend the subject & message text and by typing in or selecting an advert from the drop down, include an apply online URL to allow candidates to apply for the role. You can also brand this advert link free of charge To view the advert (as it will appear to candidates), click on the blue Preview link. Note: Do not delete the [apply link] from the message unless you do NOT want to send a link to apply. When you are happy with the message press Send Message and then Go Back to return to the results page 15
16 Results Display: Additional info You can candidates directly from your Outlook account by clicking on the applicant address (located beside the name Talent Search customers only). You can see how the candidate has been previously ranked via the flagging system. The number reflects the amount of times they have been ranked a particular colour (Talent Search only) The Information icon is automatically populated the moment you use any of the action buttons. Click on the icon to see any activity recorded across the company The Notes icon is automatically populated if any notes are created against the candidate across the company. Click on the icon to be taken to the notes section to read in more detail (Talent Search only) 16
17 Talent Search Candidate Profile If you have our Talent Search product, When you click view on the results page, a full profile for the candidate will open up. A Html version of the candidates CV is on the left hand side. On the right hand side, you can edit the candidate information, add notes and view application history. 17
18 Talent Search Candidate Profile: Editable fields Click this to download the CV submitted by the candidate. This will turn blue if already downloaded Click this to forward the CV to the address associated with your account Click this to Shortlist the candidate against an advert Click here to Longlist the candidate against one your 10 lists (if created) Edit full name and address here. If you discover that the Industry and job type here is not what the candidate is looking for you can edit this here. You can also specify what the candidates notice period is, recruitment status and their availability date. If the candidates contact numbers are different from what is in their CV this can be edited here. If the candidate s salary expectations are different to the role they applied to - this can be edited here. 18
19 Talent Search Candidate profile: Information Notes: Here you can view notes that have been made for this candidate by other consultants or you can add your own by typing in the field and clicking + Applied For: This will show you a list of adverts the candidate has applied for most recently (up to 5). This will also give you what rank they were given for that application if you are utilising the flagging system on the advert responses Map: There is a Google map which will search on the post code of the candidates address supplied in their CV. This may be useful for checking how far the candidate lives compared to the job you are thinking of putting them forward for. 19
20 Talent Search Candidate Profile: Research If you have an account with any of the social networking site then you could use the tools provided. Click on the relevant icon and you can search for the candidate on that site. This can be used as a way to research your candidates or add them to your network, as long as they have an account too. You can also research companies or generate leads via the Duedil icon. This will conduct a name search on Xing, The German equivalent of LinkedIn. Great for Dutch & German candidates This will conduct a name search on LinkedIn. A professional networking site. Great for lead generation This will conduct a name search on Facebook. A social networking site. Great for candidate information 20

Great for candidate information This will take you through to Duedil. A company information site. Great for canvass and cold calling information 21
22 Saving and Accessing Saved Searches To Save your search select the save option on the left hand side Once clicked your search will be saved and appear in the top right corner of your screen. The number beside the Saved Searches indicates how many searches you have stored. To access your saved search click on the blue link to generate it again To delete your saved search click on the bin icon 22
23 Accessing and Managing Longlists Once you have saved your longlists they will appear in the top right corner of your screen. The number beside the Longlists indicates how many you have stored. To access your saved longlist click on the blue link to generate it again To delete your saved longlist click on the bin icon Ideas for longlists: You can name your lists as favourites for a number of different things such as key skills, job titles, client name, people you left messages for or simply the date of the search! Great for quick access to strong candidates or those you need to get back to You are allowed a maximum of 10 longlists per user 23
24 How to Share Searches To share your searches simply click on the option available on the left hand side In the select recipients field you can enter the name of the person from the droplist provided. They must also be a broadbean user. You cannot free text here. When you are ready simply click Submit and the entire search criteria you used will be shared Keywords, Location, Updated, Job Type and Salary 24
25 Watchdogs If you have a search which is pulling back the types of candidates you are after then you can switch on a Watchdog to automatically re-run this search once every morning and send the new results to you in an . To create a Watchdog click to create on left hand side You will see a new window appear containing your original search criteria but you can amend or add criteria via this page Once you have completed your chosen criteria click the Create Watchdog button 25
26 Watchdogs continued The saved Watchdog will be stored in the top right corner of your screen The of results you receive will look something like this and will contain a hyperlink returning you to your search results: To manually re-run your Watchdog click on the name To delete your Watchdog click on the bin icon 26
27 Watchdogs How your results are displayed A quick visual to see how many new watchdog results have been found will be indicated by the green icon. If you want to access your watchdog results - click on the name of the watchdog to re-run the results Your initial results page will be the following: Beside each job board or social channel there will be a green icon with a number to indicate where the results are actually generated from 27
28 Watchdogs How new results are displayed To view these watchdogs click on the job board or social channel with the green icon. The following screen will appear: You can also update or change your watchdog criteria within this page The new results are clearly identified with a bold green banner along the candidate profile. If you spot any results with a white banner mixed in between this indicates that you have previously viewed this candidate but they have made recent changes to their CV or profile You can have up to 5 Watchdogs running at the same time. Perfect for ongoing requirements! 28
