1 1 Lucent Technologies CAS for Windows Version 2.2 Software Installation Notes Minimum Hardware Requirements 486/66 PC, with 16MB of memory, 500MB hard disk will handle about 500,000 calls per month for 2 months Pentium PC, with 32MB of memory, 1GB hard disk will handle about 500,000 to 2.5 million calls per month for 2 months Pentium PC, with 32MB of memory, 2GB hard disk will handle about 2.5 to 5 million calls per month for 2 months All PC s must use Microsoft Windows 95 operating system, a PS/2 type mouse, a VGA color monitor, a parallel printer, two (2) external serial communication ports (COM1 and COM2). NOTE:A serial mouse will not be supported by Lucent Technologies. The US Robotics 33.6 FAX modem supplied with the software and a phone line dedicated for Remote Maintenance. NOTE: Other modems will not be supported by Lucent Technologies.

2 2 If you have a Multi-Site system, the processor must be equipped with PCI slots and a Comtrol RocketPort Card for each set of 4 or 8 additional sites is required. NOTE: Other Multi-port cards will not be supported by Lucent Technologies. This document assumes the customers PC meets the criteria listed above.

3 3 STEP 1 Install the Carbon Copy Host software. Connect the US Robotics 33.6 FAX Modem on Com1 (serial 1) of the PC. Insert the Carbon Copy Host Setup disk in the drive A:. Select the Start button, then select Run, in the box that comes up type A:\setup. Register the System Administrator and Company name. Skip viewing the README.TXT document, select NO.

4 4 Accept the default directory (c:\microcom), select OK. Select Carbon Copy Terminal, then select Carbon Copy Scripting, then select OK. Insert disk 2, and select OK.

5 5 Insert disk 3, and select OK. Insert disk 4, and select OK. The modem wizard will then pop up, select NO to configure the modem manually.

6 6 When the communications dialog box appears, select Serial Port, then select Setup. When the dialog box appears select COM1 in the Port section, select in the Speed section, and select Sportster V.34 in the Modems section, then select Advanced.

7 7 Select the Start Connection list arrow, and select Data Received, then select OK. This will return you to the previous window, where you can select Test. This will check the connections to the modem.

8 8 Select NO if asked to convert password tables or modify the CONFIG.SYS or AUTOEXEC.BAT files. Select NO when asked to save suggested changes in an AUTOEXEC.CCW file.

9 9 When the program concludes it informs you that Setup will now restart Windows, select OK. The National Customer Care Center (NCCC) requests that you to add a Host shortcut on the desktop. The following procedure will accomplish this. Right click anywhere on the desktop, select New, then select Shortcut. C:\microcom\winhost.exe in the command Line: box, then select Next. Type

10 10 Type Host xxx-xxx-xxxx, where the x s are replaced by your remote maintenance phone number, then select Finish. Final testing of the remote maintenance modem Double click on the new Host.. icon, a Carbon Copy Host pop-up screen will appear and disappear. The Carbon Copy Host dialog box will appear and disappear, it has 8 large buttons. The program will continue to configure the modem and minimize to a button on the task bar, Host Waiting for Call. This will indicate a successful installation of Carbon Copy Host and the remote maintenance modem.

11 11 STEP 2. CAS for Windows Software Installation Insert the CAS for Windows Setup disk in drive A: select the Start button, select Run, and in the dialog box type A:\setup. Insert Program disk 1, and select OK. Insert Program disk 2, and select OK.

12 12 Insert Configuration Model???? disk, and select OK. Remove the configuration disk Select Yes. When the system reboots the screen will look like this.

13 13 Select each item in the box above one at a time and follow the instructions below.

14 14 Type Dollars press <TAB> then <SHIFT> 4.

15 15 If the customer has their Custom Rates Disk, insert it in drive A:, and select OK. If there is no Custom Rates Disk, select Cancel. Select Close.

16 16 NOTE: If you have a vintage PBX (Dimension, Sys75 R1V1, etc.), please call (800) , Option 0, Ext and request a download of the Vintage Lucent Technologies PBX call collection disk. If you have a Non-Lucent Technologies PBX, arrangements should have already been made to provide you with the correct Call Collection disk required.

17 17 Select Add. Select Yes. Insert the Call Collection 1 disk in drive A:

18 18 Insert the Call Collection 2 disk in drive A:. Select Add. Select Yes.

19 19 Select the list arrow in the Protocol section and then the down arrow on the scroll bar until Direct Connect 1.0 is showing, and select it. Select the list arrow in the Format section and then the down arrow on the scroll bar until # (146) is showing, and select it. Select Options in the Protocol section.

20 20 Select the list arrow by Port Name and select COM2. Select the list arrow by Baud Rate and select 9600, the rest of this screen is default so just select OK. You will be returned to the previous screen. Select Apply, wait a few seconds and then select Close.

21 21 Select Close. Select Close.

22 22 All the boxes should have an X in them, select Close. Lucent Technologies CAS for Windows software installation is complete. (if there is no optional software to install.) Congratulations!
