2 Release Notes D&C Scheme Editor D&C Scheme Editor Modelconversion revised Models with symbols from user library were not converted to version 5.1 when upgrading from version 5.0. Models with or without symbols from user library are now converted into version 5.2.

3 Release Notes D&C Scheme Editor D&C Scheme Editor PDF saving optimized The function Publish as PDF and Export to PDF was optimized, so that the file size is equivalent to Acrobat Reader. Thus a significant reduction of the file size could be achieved. 2.2 Air Consumption removed The air consumption in D&C Scheme editor was removed. The online version of this calculation tool ( should be used. The online version is also available via Tools Calculation Tools. 2.3 Symbol minimum Size 1x1 mm Symbols can not be smaller than 1x1 mm in order to ensure always a selection. 2.4 Exception suppressed Diacritics (e.g., ',', ^) in the folder names of the user library are filtered out because they will cause a crash in an external component that we currently can not influence. 2.5 Save as PDF revised If a PDF file is opened, e.g. with Acrobat Reader, and the user tries to override this file from the D&C Scheme Editor, the user will be informed that the file is used by another process. 2.6 Symbol Library extended The symbol library has been updated and complemented (Chart symbols R224).

4 Release Notes D&C Scheme Editor D&C Scheme Editor Create new symbols with Rexroth Symbol Modeling Tool The Rexroth Symbol Modeling Tool is designed to create new user defined symbols, modify existing ones and enhance configured symbols which have been provided by the online configurator for the usage in D&C Scheme Editor. In addition to numerous export and import functions it is possible to add pneumatic, hydraulic or electric ports. The created symbol can be imported into the user library of D&C Scheme Editor.

5 Release Notes D&C Scheme Editor Creating own Libraries - User Library With the command Transfer to user library, parameterized symbols can be added into the user library for usage in other models. It is possible to create an individual folder structure, rearrange the order of the symbols or copy them via Drag&Drop. For an exchange with other users, entire user libraries or individual subfolders can be exported. After importing into the other system these libraries are ready to be used. 3.3 Change Connection Line Type Pre-defined line types can be assigned to a connection line via using the Properties windows or with Line Type in the toolbar Format.

6 Release Notes D&C Scheme Editor Create new Connection Line Types In the dialog Tools Options Line Types, user defined connection line types can be created, edited or deleted. In the area Default Settings, the default layout for connection lines can be set. Connection lines can be modified via using the buttons Line color, Line width and Dash style in the Format group or the Properties tool window.

7 Release Notes D&C Scheme Editor Change Element Order in Model Explorer The order of models, sheets and symbols can be modified via using the up/ down buttons in the local Model Explorer toolbar or via Drag&Drop the objects in the desired location. 3.6 Publish as PDF / Print Air Consumption To export the parameters and results of air consumption use Publish as PDF. For printing use Print or Print Preview.
