12 Driver and Language Packages Driver Packages are created based on driver INF Printer drivers are divided further based on manufacturer 400 device driver Packages in default Distribu-on Share Windows Embedded Standard is Language- neutral No need for a default English plus addi)onal language Language Packages consist of MUI s (Mul-- Lingual User Interface) with dependencies to fonts

17 Interac-ve Image Crea-on IBW (Image Builder Wizard ) is an interac-ve Image installa-on tool IBW runs directly on your Reference device Guides you through a set of Configura-on choices Wizard then creates and installs a Standard 7 opera)ng system onto the Reference device Installa-on can then be customized and op-onally captured to an image file, generalized and deployed

20 Adding Addi-onal Applica-ons and Drivers IBW determines the hardware of the Reference device IBW can be used to include addi-onal drivers (Packages) including third- party drivers IBW can be used to include Feature Sets and Packages Use.PMQ from TAP to include a pre- selected list Use the Show Devices func-on to report on a list of drivers detected by IBW Image Builder Wizard can be prevented from adding any drivers to the installa-on

38 Target Analyzer Probe Introduc-on Target Analyzer Probe (TAP) is used to inves-gate the hardware devices on a target system HAL Chipsets Media Enumerated devices Every system is different, thus Target Analyzer Probe should be run for each new system The output is an XML file (PMQ) that can be imported into ICE
