4 Manual software does all the hard work of gathering employee clocking records from one to many time clocks and creates pain text transaction files. Basically it acts as a clocking gateway to BundyPlus and other third party applications.

5 Getting Started Please read the topics bellow to quickly get started with. The introductory topics will give you the brief overview of the concept. It requires just a couple minutes to install.

6 Installing can be installed from a CD or you can download it from our website at Note: Backup before updating. We recommend before installing (or subsequent releases) that you perform a backup on existing files to an external drive. Setup.exe is the file that installs the system on to your computer. Windows 7 Users Note: You need to have owner / creator user rights when installing. Please check your computer log in details to ensure you have the correct rights. If you install with the in-correct user rights, will not install all the components required and you will get unpredictable errors. Installing from CD 1. If your computer only allows users with administrator privileges to install programs, log in as administrator. 2. Save all open documents and close all programs. 3. Insert the installation CD. An installation windows appears. If an installation window does not appear, open Windows Explorer, go to your CD drive and double-click the setup.exe file. 4. Click Install and follow the on screen installation instructions. 5. When the installation is complete, restart your computer. If you have issues while installing, try disabling your antivirus software until the installation is complete. If this does not solve the issue, search the Support Notes at Installing from download 1. If your computer only allows users with administrator privileges to install programs, log in as administrator. 2. Save all open documents and close all programs. 3. Connect to the internet. 4. Go to and download the trial software. 5. Follow the on screen instructions to download the file. 6. Save the file to your desktop.

7 7. Double-click the setup.exe file you saved to your desktop. 8. Follow the on screen installation instructions. 9. When the installation is complete, restart your computer. If you have issues while installing, try disabling your antivirus software until the installation is complete. If this does not solve the issue, search the Support Notes at

8 Setup - Welcome Setup will guide you through the installation process with a simple wizard that asks various questions. You need to read and accept the terms of the licensing agreement.

9 Setup - License Agreement Terms and Conditions This field contains terms and conditions. I accept the agreement option Once you have read the terms and conditions select this button to accept the agreement.

11 Setup - Select Destination Location will display a default but you can change this drive and directory to whatever you want. We would however recommend that you leave this as the default. Once has been installed and configured you can move the database to a mapped network drive. However needs to be installed on all PC s / machines that need to access to the system.

12 Setup - Start Menu Folder Menu Folder Name This field sets the name of the menu folder. Browse... button Click here to browse for an alternate folder.

14 Setup - Additional Tasks Once the install is completed you can Launch from the Wizard or from the desktop or Quick Launch Icon. Create a &desktop icon check You can create a desktop shortcut icon and / or a Quick Launch Icon. < Back button Click here to go back to previous screen. 16 Setup - Ready to Install Install Details Shows the summary of the installation about to take place < Back button Click here to go back to the previous screen. Install button Click here to continue the installation.

19 Setup Wizard When runs for the first time a setup wizard will take you through basic setup requirements. This will ask a series of question to get you up and running quickly.

20 Wizard - Welcome Q&A location Throughout the wizard process questions will be asked requiring your installation configuration. This is the area they will be located. < Back Button Clicking here will take you back to the previous screen. Next > Button Clicking here will take to to the next screen. Progress This field will display the current progress of the wizard (i.e 1 of 20). Depending on answers given, some steps may be skipped.

21 Quit Button Click here to quit the wizard.

22 Wizard - Automatic Daylight Savings Update? Q&A Select the setting you require. Note: You must have an internet connection to automatically update daylight savings profiles.

23 Wizard - Local Time Zone? Q&A Click here and select the appropriate time zone of where is running. Note: This setting is important to ensure sets the time clock's time correctly.

24 Wizard - Modem Connection? Q&A Select the option you require. Installations that don't use modems (99%) select "No".

25 Wizard - Time Clock Setup This next wizard section will configure your time clock(s).

26 Wizard - Biometric Time Clock? Q&A Click the appropriate option the suits your time clock.

27 Wizard - Time Clock Name? Q&A This field sets the name of time clock#1. Text should be descriptive to assist identification between multiple time clocks.

28 Wizard - Time Clock Time Zone? Q&A Click here to select the time zone the time clock will be located. Note: This setting is important to ensure sets the time clock's time correctly.

29 Wizard - Time Clock Connection Type? Q&A Click the connection type that suits this time clock. Most(99%) of time clocks supplied today use TCPIP (Ethernet). Note: You must have an internet connection to automatically update daylight savings profiles.

30 Wizard - Time Clock IP Address? Q&A This field is used for the time clocks IP address. The default IP address (" ") of the time clock is a fairly safe IP address. This must be a static IP address that is out side of your DHCP server addressing. TIP: If your not sure contact your IT administrator and they will be able to assign you a static IP address for the time clock.

31 Wizard - Additional Time Clock? Q&A Click "Yes" if you wish to setup an additional time clock or "No" to complete the wizard process.

33 Application Windows The home screen is where starts. All day to day and maintenance activities done from this window.

34 Command Centre Window Available Commands Displays a list of available commands that can be issued to time clocks. To issue a command either double click on the command required or select the command and click "Start". Start Click here to commence processing the selected command.

35 Selected Clocks This section lists which time clock(s) will be issued commands. Default is "All Clocks" with individual clocks available. Tx Flashes as a visual indication when a communications packet is sent. Rx Flashes as a visual indication when a communications packet is received. Current Progress Information This area will display sequential status information relating to commands being issued. Clear Click here to clear the progress window. Maintenance Centre Click this icon to edit application settings, add or modify time clock settings. Exit Click here to exit. Help Click here to display help on the current subject.

36 Maintenance Centre This is the area where system maintenance occurs. Example: adding new time clocks, changing paths, time zones etc.

38 Application This section allows you to configure paths, network setting, time clock commands files and directories, to suit your needs.

39 Files and Directories Group Tab Click here for file and directory settings.

40 Primary Format Click here to select primary export format. TIP: BundyPlus requires "TXT" or "CSV" format. Primary Path This field displays the primary path where will read and write interface files. TIP: BundyPlus requires this to be set to the same location as company database. Browse Click here to select the primary path. Alternate Format 1-4 Click here to select alternate export format(1-4). Alternate Path 1-4 This field displays the alternate paths where will write transaction files. Alternate Browse 1-4 Click here to select the alternate paths. Lock to BundyPlus Click here to lock the primary import/export path to location specified in BundyPlus. Lockout When ticked, will not download clocking records until it achieves a successful file lock on the primary export file.

42 Network and Modem Settings Group Tab Click here for modem and network settings.

43 Obtain Local IP Address Automatically When ticked, this will automatically use the current computer IP address settings. If not ticked, Local IP (Default " "), Local Port (default "0") and Remote Port (default "3001") needs to be set. Note: If unchecked "Used the following IP Address Settings" window will be visible. (Default = "Ticked") TIP: We recommend this setting is ticked. Integrity Checking Click here to enable higher level of security checking of time clock communications. (Default = "Ticked") Local IP Address This field contains the IP address of the PC running. (Default = " ") TIP: Default setting is When this is used this instructs to use your current IP address. Local Port This field is the IP Port listens for time clock responses. (Default = "0") Remote Port This field is the IP Port send commands on to time clocks. 45 GPRS Modem Settings Network Type Click here to select the type of modem network is going to use to talk to remote modem connected time clocks. (Default = "Not Used") Modem Type Click here to select the type of modem attached. APN This field needs to contain your GPRS network APN setting. GPRS Port# This field needs to contain your GPRS Port#. (Default = "10000") Serial Port#

46 Click here to select the communications port where the dialing modem is connected. (Default = "Auto Select") GPRS AutoConfig Click here to automatically configure the selected modem type. User Name This field needs to contain your GPRS user name. Password This field needs to contain your GPRS password. Freq Band Click here to select the frequency band your modem will operate. Check Signal Strength Click here to check the modem signal strength attached to.

47 Modem Settings Network Type Click here to select the type of modem network is going to use to talk to remote modem connected time clocks. (Default = "Not Used") Init String This field displays the initialization string that will be sent to the dialing modem connected to. (Default = "ATE0X0Q0&G0&P1N0V1&K0&D0S37=9S38=0") Serial Port# Click here to select the communications port where the dialing modem is connected. (Default = "COMM1") AutoConfig Dial out Modem Click here to get to automatically configure attached modem. Restore Default Init String Click here to restore attached modem init string back to defaults.

48 Time Clock Commands The time clock command screen lists all commands supported. Tick the commands you require made available to the main screen and repeat mode screen. Time Clock Commands Tab Click here for Time Clock Commands. Set Time and Date If ticked, this command will set the time clocks time and date.

49 Get Status If ticked, this command will get the current status of the time clocks. Set Relay Events If ticked, this command will send the relay events to the time clocks as defined in the Relays.txt file if it exists. Download Clockings If ticked, this command will download all employee clockings from required time clocks. Get Version If ticked, this command will get attached time clock version information. Set Daylight Savings If ticked, this command will set when the time clock should automatically changes time. Poll Time Clock If ticked, this command will get the time clock to respond with summary information. The command is used in conjuction with repeat mode. Get and Send Bio Images If ticked, this command will get and send biometric images if required. This is determined by the result of a "Poll Time Clock" command. Get Clockings when available If ticked, this command will get employee clockings if required. This is determined by the result of a "Poll Time Clock" command. Soft Reset If ticked, this command will force the time clock to perform a soft reboot.

50 Upload Department Profiles If ticked, this command will send department information to the time clocks as defined in the Department.txt file if it exists. Activate Remote Relay If ticked, this command will instruct the time clock to operate it's onboard relay output as per the "Relay Profile" window. Upload Function Keys If ticked, this command will send the function key information to the time clocks as defined in the Functionkeys.txt file if it exists. Upload Level Messages If ticked, this command will send the job costing level messages to the time clocks as defined in the LevelMessages.txt file if it exists. Biometric Synchronize If ticked, this command will synchronize all biometric images over multiple time clocks. Note: This command is not supported by all time clock models. Download Clockings (No Clear) If ticked, this command will download all employee clockings from required time clocks and not clear the records from the time clock. TIP: This command should only be ticked during commissioning. If used full time, the time clocks memory will fill quickly and employee records will not be saved. Upload Job Codes If ticked, this command will send job codes information to the time clocks as defined in the JobCosting.txt file if it exists. Upload Employee Profiles If ticked, this command will send employee information to the time clocks as defined in the Employee.txt file if it exists.

56 Repeat Mode Settings Continuous Events Continuous events are commands that are performed every triggered period (seconds) setting. Continuous trigger period This field sets the period of time (in seconds) between continuous commands.

57 Continuous Commands This field list the available commands that can be assigned (ticked) to this event type. Periodic Events Periodic events are commands that are performed every triggered period (minutes) setting. Periodic trigger period This field sets the period of time (in minutes) between periodic commands. Periodic Commands This field list the available commands that can be assigned (ticked) to this event type. Daily Events Daily events are commands that are performed at defined times every day. Daily event times This field sets the times when daily commands are triggered. Daily Commands This field list the available commands that can be assigned (ticked) to this event type. Repeat Enabled check If ticked, repeat mode is enabled. Only upload file(s) if changed check If ticked, the commands that require import files (Employee.TXT, Department.TXT, Relays.TXT...) will only be issued if a change is detected.

64 Time Clock Profile Site This field defines the site number of the time clock. (Default = "1") Note: In most (99.9%) circumstances, this setting should remain "1". If changed from defaults, the physical time clock settings need to be changed.

65 Clock This field defines the clock number of the time clock. (Default = "1") Note: In most (99.9%) circumstances, this setting should remain "1". If changed from defaults, the physical time clock settings need to be changed. Network type This field selects the network type you are using to communicate to the time clock. (Default = "Ethernet/WiFi") Name This field sets the name of the time clock. This is to help identify specific time clocks when using more than one time clock. Time Zone Click here to set the correct time zone for the selected time clock. Note: This setting is important to ensure sets the time clock's time correctly. Enabled If ticked, this enables any communications to the time clock. IP Address This field sets the IP address of the time clock. (Default = " ") TIP: This needs to be the same physical IP address of the time clock. Timeout This field sets the communications timeout period. (Default = "3") Refresh Click here to refresh available time clock list.

66 Ping Click here to PING the selected time clock. This should be used as a diagnostic tool only. Model This filed selects the time clock model.

67 Mobile Time Clock using DNS Time clocks fitted with a 3/4G router can be configured to use a public hostname via a DNS provider (e.g or similar). Note: specific router configuration is required.

68 Audit Logs and Settings Enable Auto Log File Cleanups check If ticked, audit logs size and age will be managed as per settings. Restrict logging to If auditing is enabled, this field sets the maximum audit files size to prevent filling disk space.

69 Delete older than If auditing is enabled, this field sets the maximum age files can be before automatically deleting. Enable Logging check If ticked, audit logging will be preformed. 70 Event Notification Settings Notifications are a great way to keep you informed if a problem is detected. This is especially useful if is configured in repeat mode on a 24x7 server. Notification Settings This field allows you to define the method and frequency of notifications. Either capped, immediate or watchdog. Capped Mode If ticked, capped mode of notification will be used. In this mode an will be sent to all enabled addresses if a problem is detected. If the problem persists then an addition is sent after a period defined up to three times. If

71 the problem still persists all notifications are put on hold for a defined period of time where will re-arm again. Immediate Mode If ticked, immediate mode of notification will be used. In this mode an will be sent to all enabled addresses if any problem is detected. Watchdog Mode If ticked, watchdog mode of notification will be used. In this mode an will be sent to all enabled addresses if time clock does not respond to any commands within a defined period of time. Triggers This field is used to configure the selected notification mode. Enabled If ticked, notification will be enabled. Primary Address This field contains the primary address where notifications are sent. Enabled Primary Address If ticked, the primary address is enabled. Alternate s These fields contain the alternate addresses (1-4) where notifications are sent. From Address This field contains the address to sent notification from. TIP: In some cases your internet service provider may block s that do not have a valid address. Ensure you test notifications to confirm operation.

72 Send Test Click here to send a test to confirm notifications are working. Server Name This field contains the server name. 76 Modes of Operation can be configured to operate in various modes of operation to best suit your environment.

77 Manual Mode Manual mode is when is launched directly from a shortcut or via BundyPlus. Any commands issued to time clocks are performed manually by the user via the manual commands available.

78 Repeat Mode Repeat mode is when is started then remains running scheduled tasks until stopped. Any commands are issued automatically as per the repeat mode settings and require no further user input. This mode is normally used when is installed on a networked server.

79 Command Line Mode Command line mode is when is called from a DOS shell with specific parameters. Only one command can be issued per call and all enabled clocks will receive that command. This mode is normally used by third party applications that require a simple interface between time clocks and clocking text files. See command line call formats below.

80 Common Issues software has been around for over 10 years. Below is a list of the most common issues we experienced.

81 Time Clock - Time Out Issue: Time clock times out. will indicate this by displaying "Time Out" in the "Current Progress Information. 82 Time Clock - Displaying wrong time Issue: Time clock has the wrong time. Suggestions: Issue "Set Time and Date" command. Issue "Set Daylight Savings" command. Check time clock's time zone setting is correct. Check time zone settings are up to date. Check local PC's time is correct.

83 Time Clock - Displays wrong employee name Issue: When an employee clocks in or out the wrong name is displayed on the time clock. Suggestions: Issue "Upload Employee Profiles" command and try again. Check employee card number is correct in BundyPlus.

84 Time Clock - Daylight savings time didn't change Issue: Time clock's time didn't automatically change with daylight savings. Suggestions: Issue "Set Time and Date" command. Issue "Set Daylight Savings" command. Check time clock's time zone setting is correct. Check time zone settings are up to date. Check local PC's time is correct.

85 Export File - Export path problem Issue: Primary export path becomes invalid (goes missing). You may notice this because you can't find your clockings. will indicate when this occurs by flashing the warning icon. Suggestions: Check network connection to remote drive Check local mapped drive assignment
