4 1 INTRODUCTION 1.1 Purpose This document illustrates installation instructions for the Ositech Bluetooth Configurator software under the Windows XP operating system; Windows 2000 and Vista will be slightly different. Windows ME and below (Windows 98SE, 98, and 95) are unsupported with this CDROM. Please be advised that only 32bit versions of Windows 2000, XP, or Vista are supported. 1.2 Scope Once the Ositech Bluetooth Configurator software has been installed, you will then be able to use the installed software to configure your Ositech Bluetooth dongle to work with the ZOLL defibrillator. Please refer to the Ositech Bluetooth Dongle pdf file for instructions on how to use the configuration software with your Bluetooth dongle. You will find a link to those instructions via your start menu, or directly from your CDROM installation media. Document #: 48x414-ZOLL-001 Page 4 of 4

5 2 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Insert your installation CDROM into the CDROM drive on your laptop. Windows 2000, XP and Vista users will view the menu system below. When the menu loads, click the Install ZOLL KoH with Bluetooth button to start. You should now see the ZOLL KoH with Bluetooth menu. Click the Install ZOLL KoH with Bluetooth button to continue with the installation. Document #: 48x414-ZOLL-001 Page 5 of 5

6 The Ositech Bluetooth Configurator Setup Wizard will now greet you. Please click Next to continue. Please review the License Agreement. Once you have read the License Agreement and agreed to the terms, click the I Agree button to proceed. If you have not installed the King Of Hearts PC Card programming device, you will now be prompted to insert your programming device into your laptop, and complete its installation before continuing. Click OK and complete its installation. If your programming device has already been installed, you will not observe this dialog window, nor will you observe the Found New Hardware Wizard. 7 The Found New Hardware Wizard will now greet you. Since you do not need to connect to Windows Update to search for drivers, ensure that the bullet is set to No, not this time, and then Click Next. Leave the bullet set to Install the software automatically [Recommended], and click Next to continue. Windows will now advise you that this software has not passed Windows Logo Testing. Please be assured that this software will neither impair nor destabilize your computer system. Click Continue Anyway to install the drivers. Document #: 48x414-ZOLL-001 Page 7 of 7

8 The Found New Hardware Wizard will now prompt you that it has finished installing the software for your programming cable device. Click Finish to complete the programming device installation. Please select the installation folder of your choice where you would like the Ositech Bluetooth Configurator to be installed to. We recommend that you leave the installation folder in its default location. When you are satisfied with the installation folder, please click the Install button to continue. 9 You have now completed the installation of the Ositech Bluetooth Configurator software. If you now wish to configure your Ositech Bluetooth dongle immediately after this process, ensure a check is placed beside Launch the Ositech Bluetooth Configurator. Click Finish to complete this process. If you have chosen to launch the Ositech Bluetooth Configurator, it will launch after you click Finish. Document #: 48x414-ZOLL-001 Page 9 of 9
