2 1 Introduction This guide explains how to troubleshoot common errors that may occur when running editariff. 2 Specific Issues and their Solutions 2.1 Error: The program cannot start because MSVCR70.dll is missing from your computer Solution 1 editariff has not been installed properly on your machine, or the installation has become corrupt or damaged. Locate the BIN folder within the editariff directory and run the inno_foxsp.exe file. To locate the BIN folder, either: Right click the editariff shortcut on your desktop, click Properties Open file location. This will open the BIN folder. Solution 2 Otherwise, identify the editariff location saved within the Registry under editariff Installation Directory. Then, navigate to this directory by using Windows Explorer. Try reinstalling editariff from scratch and then apply online updates. Refer to p.25 editariff Installation Guide for System Administrators. Access is denied Solution This is a Windows error that occurs within corporate installations because editload.exe cannot be run from CargoWise One to launch editariff. The editariff folder must be shared for the Everyone group with R/W permissions so that updates can be applied manually. If some users do not have access to the folder, this error indicates the security permissions are not valid for all users. Locate the editariff folder and share it for all relevant users. Refer to Page 19 of the editariff Installation Guide for System Administrators 2.6 Warning: editariff is unable to update its program files. It will continue now, but please be advised that it may malfunction 1 2 Some files are locked so updates cannot take effect. Note: If the editariff Updater window is open, the application tries to update the Updater itself and if it is still running it will fail. The user is not allowed to modify files in the editariff installation folder. Solution for 1 If you are an Individual user, close all editariff windows (including editariff Updater) and restart editariff. If you are a Corporate business, ask the IT team within your organization to unlock the listed files using the Computer Management Console. Solution for 2 If you are an Individual user with a Vista and greater Operating System, close all editariff windows (including editariff Updater) and restart editariff as an Administrator. If you are a Corporate business, ask the IT team within your organization to run editariff as an Administrator and check the read/write permissions for the editariff folder. 2.7 Error: Unable to load editariff The Installation Directory path within the Registry does not point to the proper location of editariff so the network path was not found OR the path does exist but

This could be because: the path was not updated in the Registry when CargoWise One was installed editariff application data was moved to another location on the network editariff was not installed at all so needs to be installed to the location within the error message. On the second screenshot above, the path \\server1\editariff\bin exists but the expected file editload.exe does not. Solution Launch CargoWise One and in the Registry > editariff > Installation Directory assign the proper network path. Install editariff to this path if it is valid but there are no editariff files there. Retry the editariff update. 2. If re-trying fails, try using a different Download Engine. To do this, Launch the Support Updater from within the editariff main menu > Updater > Support Updater. Select one of the three Download Engines available (that is different to the current one being used), either WinInet, Indy or ICS, then press Start. 3. If changing the Download Engine was NOT successful, enter this URL in to your internet browser: Find the file etupdate.exe in the list, write down its size in bytes and try to download it from your browser: Note: If you cannot navigate to this URL, download the file or the file is truncated after download then the editariff update will not work. You need to have access to all files in this folder for updates, so ask your IT team to grant you unrestricted access to the WiseTechGlobal website and then try again. 4.
