1 IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR INSTALLING COMPLAY NOTE: This page is for Microsoft Windows 98, SE, NT, 2000, and XP. See page #2 for installing Complay on a Vista P. C. See page #3 for installing Complay Windows 7 P.C. Insert the Complay Software CD into your CD drive, usually D: Complay should Auto-Load, Click Install Complay , When asked, type in the Serial Number use: 4A for the year A for the year 2011 When asked which Complay Settings to install, choose Complay 3.5 Only Important: Do not install scheduler, templates etc. Allow Complay to complete the program install, NOTE: Before Ejecting CD: At the Desktop, double click on My Computer, Right mouse click on the CD drive and choose Open, Right mouse click on the Graphics folder which is either labeled Graphics or with the size of your sign (i.e.: 32x96), choose Copy, and then Paste, the Graphics folder on to the PC Desktop. To Complete the Complay setup, click on the Tutorial button located in the Complay Introduction window of the CD. 2 Follow the instructions on setting up the program. Upon completing the setup of Complay , use the Interactive Tutorial to learn how to use the Complay 3.5 software, thus learning to create play files and to upload these play files to your new LED sign. Installing Complay 3.5 on a Vista P.C. NOTE: Before installing Complay on a Microsoft Vista Operating System, you must have Microsoft Vista Service pack #1 or greater installed on your P.C. Be sure to Uninstall Complay 3.5 if it is currently installed. 1. Launch Setup by inserting the Complay CD into your CD Drive. 2. When the Auto Play window appears, click on Run Launch.exe 3. When the User Account Control window appears, click on Allow 4. When the Complay 3.5 window opens, click on the Install Complay 3.5 button 5. When the Install Shield window opens, click New 6. Enter Username in the Username field. 7. Enter the Company Name in the Company Name field. 8. For serial number use the following: 4A for the year 2010 and click Next. 9. When the Registration Conformation window appears, click Yes. 10. When the Choose Destination Location window appears, click Next. 11. When the Setup Type window appears, select Complay 3.5 Only and click Next. 12. When the Install Shield Wizard Complete window appears, click Finish. 13. After Complay 3.5 has been successfully installed Right click on the Complay 3.5 Icon again. - click Properties - click on Compatibility tab - Where you see Run this program in compatibility mode for, select Windows XP (Service Pack 2) - check Run this program as Administrator box - click Apply - click OK 14. To Launch Complay, right click on the Complay 3.5 icon on your desktop. - click on Run as Administrator - click on Allow 15. Go to page #7 to finish the installation. Page 2 of 7

3 Installing Complay 3.5 on a Windows 7 P.C. When doing a Windows 7 installation, you will need to start with a clean slate. Remove any version of Complay installed on the computer and reboot the machine. Note: If you are using a CD to install this application, please follow the steps from here. If you have downloaded the Complay software from our website, please move down the page to the section that states where you should begin. After you have done this, insert the CD into the CD/DVD drive on your computer. Close the initial Autorun screen that comes up. Click on the Exit button. We then need to browse the CD for the installation file. Right click on your Start button and choose Open Windows Explorer Page 3 of 7

We then want to select the CD or DVD drive. It will be under the Computer section. The drive is typically drive D. Once there, browse to the Complay 3 folder.

Right click on the icon for Complay that was placed on your computer s desktop during installation, and then choose Properties. Choose the Compatibility tab. Make sure the application is not running in any compatibility mode, as shown in the image below. This option remains unchecked. The only thing in this list that should be selected is the Run as Administrator check box. Page 5 of 7

After you have completed this, click Apply ant then OK. You may now attempt to run Complay 3.5.48.

Signs with Multiple Sides If your sign has more than one side, you will have to configure Complay to reflect this. From the main Complay screen: 1. Click on Tools, and then Options Settings 2. Click the button that says Multiple IDs 3. In the top left box, type in the number 1, and then click on the orange plus. 4. Do the same for the number Click done. 6. Click ok. Your sign should now be set up to use multiple IDs. This will allow your programmed messages to go to both sides of the sign at once. Page 7 of 7
