11 December 13, Step 1: Creating a SharePoint List Create a custom list with the following columns: List Name: Vendor Contracts List Columns: Fill the list with test data

13 December 13, In the Data Connection Wizard, set the Location of the data feed as (considering that list resides on the root site collection) collection>/_vti_bin/listdata.svc

20 December 13, Configuring Data Refresh options: (i) In the Connection Properties screen, select Refresh data when opening the file under Refresh Control section in the Usage tab

21 December 13, (ii) Under the Definition tab, you will notice that the Connection file is created on the local machine. Browse to the location and upload the data connection file to the Documents library. Return to the Definition tab and change the reference from local machine to Documents library. Save and upload the Excel file to SharePoint library Before After
